Ok.. now it is entirely possilbe that this has come up already.. but I looked around and didnt see it... so forgive me if I am beating a dead horse in here (but I will take a Horse-Pepsi with that)
While watching "Roswell That Ends Well" My wife noticed a glareing error in Frys family tree. In this episode Fry meets his (supposed.. but for all practical purposes) grandfather who name was Enis. However in "Luck of the Fryish" Frys fathers says that his father and father before him were named Yancy. Which then means that Enis must be Frys Mothers father. But in "Roswell That Ends Well" Fry yells at Enis's testicles addressing his father. So Enis is the (for all prctical purposes in this case) father of Frys father.
I have yet to geek a solution to this one other than, Enis was a nickname... or something.
HELP

Wait wait wait.... I may have something
Ok... hear me out.
Frys Grandmother (the who claims Enis as the father of Yancy) Was not married to Enis, so it is possible that her last name was Fry. So perhaps Enis is in fact his last name, thereby making is name Yancy Enis. Since he was in the military his last name would have been on his uniform, (does anyone recall if his name was visible on his uniform in any scenes?) and it is not uncommon for military people to call each other by there last names (hence the seargent calling him Enis) So since he was just some guy she dated for a while... and probably never became intimate with (due to Enis's tendancy tword the same sex) Maybe she regularly reffered to him as Enis as well. This is also fairly common, I am ex-army myself and have seen a few cases where women called a soldier they were "dateing" by their last names... especially if they really didnt love them and were just gold digging.
In case you cant tell.. I am a true geek and like to solve little continuity problems like this.
What do you think?

Nope, he never mentioned his father (Fry's grandfather). The exact line is: Son, your name is Yancy, just like me and my grandfather and so on. He handedly skip mentioning his own father.

For more "Roswell That Ends Well" oddities, try poking around in this thread.

Welcome to PEEL. Enjoy it here.
