Yesterday, they reran "A Fishful of Dollars" (here in New Jersey, home of Robot Hell, we had to wait until 11). Did anyone notice that, in the scene in which Fry and Leela get massages, the guy giving Bender a buffing is none other than Scruffy, the Planet Express janitor?

Yep, that was him, all right. Plus, Scruffy was the guy pushing the head-cart at the beginning of the concert in 1acv09. I think his moustache might have been a different color, though... Still, it and his hat did change color a number of times during 'Anthology' alone, so that doesn't nescessarily mean anything.
Oh, by the way: I just read "The Fault" over at TLZ, and buddy, it kicked some serious ass. I simply have no idea why you aren't working for FOX. Anyone else who hasn't seen it, quit wasting your time here and go check it out now!

Thanks. (snif) This is the kind of thing that makes it all worthwhile. And might I add that "Relics" kicked really serious ass? I might, I might... Anyway, my next is called "On a Wong and a Prayer" and I'm planning to submit it to CGEF (and the Outlet, if they ever get it back up  :()

Well since this thread got buried and lost, Scruffy has been in "Parasites Lost" reading a dirty magazine and in "Luck of the Fryrish" standing by the door.

Any others that I've missed or that are in Season 4 which I havn't seen any of yet?

Anthology of Interest II- when Farnsworth asks who else wants to use the machine, they show Scruffy. Also as the Man Witch of the North in Leela's segment.

A Tale of Two Santas- when he scratches his nose and gets put on Santa's naughty list.

P.S. This thread is so old it farts dust.

When you change your sig everyday, they can't all be cool.   :)

My secret plan is to have everyone hate the new sigs, then I'll bring back the old ones as "Sigs Classic." I'll make billions!

Scruffy would have to get his own spinoff to BE a character in the sense that the others are

They say that on the commentary about him being the massagist, he was kinda like Sal by switching jobs every second before they properly introduced Scruffy in the episode Anthology of Interest 1   ;)

Scruffy rocks!  Too bad he didn't really get much airtime on the show.  At least he's getting some recognition in the comics, though.

No, it isn't.

Giving him more airtime would have defeated the entire purpose of the character.

lol I think he is a funny guy I mean a character that has the introduction into the show of-

Zoidberg- "Finally the gangs all here..."

Leela: "Who are you"

Scruffy: "I'm Scruffy, the janitor"

Leela "I've never seen you before?"

Scruffy: "I've never seen you before either"

LMAO then a character like this (Scruffy) has to be liked lol I think he's great!

Free-To-Air is TV you don't have to pay for.

Cable TV and Satellite TV aren't Free-To-Air.

i think i saw scruffy again in the birdbot of ice-catraz. its near the start of chapter 4 where the men are loading their guns. the room gets scanned and i think scruffy is the guy in the yellow hat. about 30 seconds after that it shows another picture of them standing outside and the guy with the yellow hat looks exactly like scruffy

As far as I can tell, on Futurama, Scruffy appears for one of two main purposes:

(1)  As a nameless incidental character, like the occasional Hattie or Petunia cameo; or

(2)  When it's really, really funny to slow down the pace for a moment.  Or three.
