In some cases this is true. In Mars University, there is a scene where Leela mentions Guenter's father in the punch bowl and Fry spits out some punch which he was drinking from a glass that seems to have just magically appeared. If you listen to the commentary, the writer says that he made a point of how the glass should not be in Fry's hands as he enters the room or anywhere in the scene up to the point where it becomes important.

They also mentioned how they had to take about the pieces of crap being flung through that one frame where one of them (I think it's the Professor) goes "What's that they're flinging at us?" When you think about it though, that shot doesn't make a lot of sense without it.  :hmpf:

I noticed that a few months ago. And for the THIRD time, the famous picture:

I also found this:
The Oilade Trick: Performed by Bender The Magnificent and his assistiant Tinny Tim in the episode "Bender Gets Made"

Bender drinks the oilade,

puts the cup down...

AND IT'S GONE!

There is something I've found on The Sting that I didn't know until tonight, involving Hermes.

This is from one shot, sitting behind Leela:

On the next shot:

Odd, huh?  :hmpf:

It's not quite as much of a mystery as that since he actually picks up a second glass in between shots 2 and 3. Still, the original glass seems to have magically refilled.

I've found a couple of mistakes, on 'A Flight To Remember' when the security robots start beating up bender in the bar, his bow-tie vanishes, and in 'Mars University', why is amy queueing in the same line as fry?

She isn't.  She saw Fry, and came over to say hi to him, that's all.

In "Bendin' in the wind" when you see the robot and the man singing on stage, you see them walk up on stage, with a single microphone between them. When they are singing you see a shot behind them, and they both have microphones in front of them.

I noticed in "I Room mate", The Group pulls a couch out the door with Bender and Fry on it.  Hermies then says, "We'll bill ya for de couch."  But Wait a minute, His lips don't move.  Cool huh.

Futurama is notorious for jump cuts. I see them all the time. One particulary bad scene is in TMLH it's at the part where Fry and the proffesor are telling Leela about the treatment and she refuses. Watch Leela's hands during her conversation with her parents. From cut to cut they magically change position.

But ya...lots of shows cut little corners...could be that they thought of a funny thing to say but the animators didnt add in the character's movements to match the sayings.

yes i noticed that, but also when they 1st fall through the floor onto the slide, it is wide enough that they are sliding side by side. perhaps its posibble the slide has various widths on the way down, just happening to go with the song extremely conveniantly.

something that i noticed tho:
in a big piece of garbage, linda and morbo say that they are glad to live in los angeles when they are reporting on the garbage ball that will hit new york. but then in mothers day, when mom sets the robots on a rampage riot, there they are being held at gunpoint by a robot in new new york.
an error? a very conveniant reason?

The Universe B Planet Express building in TFP has a few colouring errors.  If you look, in more than a few shots, the inside of the hangar is red, like in Universe A. However, in the first shot where Leela falls from the box into Universe B, the inside of the hangar is blue.

Maybe they were simply in NNY to make report on the robot riots, The headquarter of MomCorp is located in NNY, and reporting from the point of origin is a wellknown tv-cliché to make it look like they're really digging into this thing. They also got an interview with Mom, probably in person, and Sqaureroot2 most likely have a studio in NNY as well.

Dunno if anybody has mentioned this yet: in Less Than Hero, while Fry, Leela and Bender are waiting for the Zookeeper, the clock turns 10. Then, when they're fighting with the animals, it's some minutes to 10.

Here is a very nitpicky mistake i found in Mars U:

When Gunther (sp?) is hanging on the log he tied to the vine, the vine is tied around the log in such a way that the rope should be tied on the side of the log, so the log would be tilted to the side, that's the first little mistake.
from this screenshot, it looks like the rope is tied to the side of the log:

you can't actually see it, but it looks like behind gunther's leg, it goes down to the side of the log. (or the back in this case)
but, now look at this screenshot:

the rope goes into the log!

if you watch that part of the episode, there is actually one time you can see that the rope goes off the back of the log. i couldn't find that particular shot on CGEF. you'll have to look carefully.

i'm not telling, you have to find out for yourself.

also, i just found another little mistake:
in Roswell that ends well, when the autopsy on zodberg is going on, they take a heart and he says "take, i've got 4 of them!"
but in a taste of freedom he says "two of my three hearts are having attacks!"
i suppose this could be a mistake, although maybe they meant that they took 1 of his hearts, leaving him with 3 and he never got it back.

It's more of a great joke than a mistake, if you ask me. I immediately thought of RTEW when I saw that scene, or rather heard what Zoidberg said in it.  :)

It's called continuity.   ;)

I thought it was a great little touch of them to put in, since Zoidy never got any of his organs from the Roswell autopsy back (he seems to cope fine though). If you had watched RTEW you're all "oh my god! I can't believe they remembered it!" On the other hand if you hadn't seen RTEW, you're just appreciate the joke.

The fourth heart is the one Leela picks up off the floor in the conference room at the end of the episode "Don't you need this one?"
Evidently he doesn't :P

So, has anyone but me decoded Zeep's siggy yet?
And YAY!! I got a minor glitch: Bender's head usually unscrews counter-clockwise, right? In Luck of The Fryrish it "on-screws" counter-clockwise. (after he cracks Fry's safe open)

The same thing happens in "Episode Two: The Series has Landed". First the professer unscrews Bender's head counter-clockwise and later we see him screw it back on, also counter-clockwise.

Leela's nose is turned up rather than down in the face-on shot in A Big Piece of Garbage when they're in the Armageddon suits and walking towards the camera.

in futurestock, at the defrostee group, fry sits down in the circle. when That Guy stands up, we see a shot from behind him. This shot shows us that the chair to fry's left (our right) is empty. next to that is the bald guy from when carrots ruled the earth. we can't see who is to fry's right (our left).
next to That Guy on either side is a woman.

That guy gives his little speech, not having moved from right in front of his chair, then sits down. He's in the empty chair to fry's left!

how? who knows? also, i don't remember exactly, but if you look closely, some of the other defrostees move around during that scene.
