Bender donates blood, doesn't he? I seem to remember him saying it to back up a point about having a "generous nature" once.

Bemder: Remember when I gave blood?
Prof F: Who's?
Bender: Some guy's

Or something like that. Maybe if it is wrong, our Quote Nazi will correct it for me. Hint, Hint

So, back to the topic, Bender donates blood, The Slurm Machine thirsts for Human Blood, etc. Are robots able to kill people, or is there some basic function of their BIOS to prevent them doing so? I know that Asimov's 3 laws of robotics are adhered to in most Sci-Fi, but Bender has already broken two of them.

And most of the laws of earth, come to think of it.

I'm sure if Bender killed anybody he had a good reason...he felt like it  :evillaugh:

I can't see him having a program to stop him killing people after all wasn't he designed to bend girders for use in suicide booths?

All though he was a werecar he did kill some people and I think he said something along the line

"I'm not rich enough to get away with it"

and FYI I'm paraphrasing so it might not be totally acurate.

I honestly do not remember any of the robots ever following the laws of robotics in the show, Bender was first seen waiting in line for a suicide booth breaking the third law.

Well, this is certainly news to me. I really have to keep up with the news in this country.  :D

About the girder thing: Bender was kept in the dark about the real use of the girders, but when he found out he was devastated, well at least he was disappointed, and wanted to commit suicide. So at least he knew it was wrong. Later on his system was electrocuted, and all traces of an eithics-program was probably erased.

BTW, Totalnerduk the correct quote:

Bender: "I'm very generous. What about that time I gave blood."
Fry: "Whose blood?"
Bender: "Some guy's."

Well, Bender does have the Prime Minister of Norway's arm, but that doesn't necessarily mean the guy's dead ...

The quote nazi must be spinning in his proverbial grave... speaking of which, is it me or has he not been correcting many quotes lately? Bust him down to Provisional for a day just to scare him...  :p

After he learned that he'd been breaking the law for all his life, he might have discounted the others as well.
