hey, i forget what episode its in, but fry was sitting there eating a sandwich and leela was talking about how the sandwich was made from old discarded sandwiches. Then bender said about how robots are made into beer cans and old beer cans are made into robots. but in 'bendin in the wind' the robots are being made into paper weights (or something similar). Anyone noticed this?

Yes, but think, things can be recycled as more then one thing. Wood can be made into a chair or paper.
