In the Xmas Story episode, it says that the Pine Trees are extinct, although, before they say that, you can see some in the background outside of the window when they are in the Skiing Lodge...If you know what I mean...

Yep, also the Professor knew what Pine-needles smell like when Fry used the smell'o'scope in "A big piece of garbage".
I guess that they think the original christmas - pine tree is extinct, since they don't even know what it was like, but I could be wrong there.

btw. Even our Administrator SlimmyCGEF asked that question 5 1/2 years ago. In fact it was the 6th thread that has been started in the "Re-check/Weird Scenes" section. Tree's down!!

Another thread covering this is nearly as old : Xmas Trees Really Gone?

There might be even newer threads about it  ;)

Welcome to PEEL, Jamrams

you saw that most of the times you open a thread someone comes around and says it has been done before. Sadly it is that way that if there is already an existing thread for a topic that the older one should be used, while the newer one normally gets closed.
Result is that searching for the old one is much easier in the first place.  ;)
That is one of few general guidelines you should follow here (and in most other messageboards as well). If you are interested, you should be, you can find more tips to get along here in our FAQ, the PEELers' FAQ.

afterall, enjoy your stay here.

Uh... Artificial trees?

I seem to recall several other threads along these lines, you might want to use the "SEARCH" function.

Welcome to P.E.E.L.! We're generally a friendly bunch, but I suggest you read the FAQ and have someone show you the secret handshake.    :D

GFF stalks the forums so that he can tell them what threads pre-exist.

Pine trees are also seen in "Spanish Fry". These too are artifical - a sign informs us that it is a "Duraflame National Forest."

I think that this thread's all wrapped up about now. We just need an Xmas tree to place it under...  :p
