Getting High On Cough Syrup Comment ?

I was watching this last night and I think Fry made a comment about drinking Vicks 44 cough cyrup. He said something about Vicks 44 D cough, and that is the right kind to use to get high, thats why I found this odd. Am I right on this? I was sort of out of it and I dont really remember if it was real or not lol.

Where did he say that? I looked up the Transscript for "The Series has landed" and didn't find it.

However, I can imagine that you can get trashed on Vicks, since it contains a good amount of alcohol.

What Fry said once was that he got trashed on Listerine once. He said that in "A head in the Polls" to Clinton as I remember.

It was sort of at the end of the show. Fry stood up and said that about the vicks and then he drank a bottle and then it shows the others drinking a bottle. I think, yeah I was trashed on vicks, no its not the alcohol that gets you high its the dxm. I just found it werid that Fry said that. Mainly because its the same stuff that I use. And the fact that vicks 44 d is one of the few cough syrups that contains only dxm, and that what Fry said was correct, about the type to use and that it showed them drinking it. http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/dxm/  incase anyone wants to know more about dxm lol

I think that I have the wrong episode, its what was play on adult swim on 12-28-05 One part that I remember was when Dr. Zoidberg drank the cough syrup he fell to the ground and said things are getting slow. I dont know, this is messing with me Ive seen like every episode and Ive never seen that before, maybe it was just from me coming down from a trip, and because I got really stoned from cough syrup that I thought that they did the same thing. lol

That never happened. You might be thinking of some other show... I know there's a South Park episode where the kids get high on cough syrup (Episode 811: Quest For Ratings).

yeah but i dont think cough syrop thought thats a bit out there
