Haha, yeah I noticed that too. I had to explain to my brother that it was just a joke, and Bender wasn't actually part of the story. He still thinks Bender is part of that plot...

I do... but he lives in Texas, while I'm in Lo Cal (He's my half-brother.) so I don't see him often enough to complain.

I'm thankful all right! 'Cause every time I go to Texas in the summer time, he ends up pushing my wrong button. It's hard, too though, my dad only got re-married a couple years ago.

Though that comic thing is flipping sweet! It makes me wish that my nearest comic store wasn't in the next city.

it isn't bender's appearance i'd be concerned with, fry1077, it's the fact that someone with red lipstick on kisses your comics.

for the record, bender also appeared in # 101 at the comic convention.

He's on a side profile, all Matt groening style characters look like they have one eye on their side profile!

He looks like a cyclops to me. Most MG characters have 2 eyes when the tip of the nose is that close to the cheek line. Eye brow seems long for a profile eye too.

Yeah, I think he's a cyclops. He's only slightly more profile than Marge and you can clearly see both her eyes. Heh, this is actually one of the few Simpsons comics I have. I'm gonna have to go and look now...

A joke, maybe? If I had a comic, I'd slip in jokes like that! Or maybe a Futurama artist came in and started drawing Leela, then realized it was the wrong comic, then someone finished. Or... Stephen Hawking could tell us why our vision was changed. Don't Fear The Roofer!

Edit: Made from 100% joke meat*!

Yes, mecha zoidberg

They always do jokes like that. Like in "a big ball of garbage" the bart simpson doll. It isn't realy one though because the garbage was from the 20th century. And  he also likes to do things and ends up what you least suspect. Like in simpsons...
Bart, lisa and maggie, you think there hiding in these large jars near the cupboard, ten you see them jump out of the cupboard.

Anyway, he's gotta be a cyclop's because he is looking nearly directly at you. A side profile would be a bit like this emotion below
