i noticed that in the episode S02E11: Lesser of Two Evils where we first meet Flexo, Bender's similar bending bot, he sprays Fry in the face with chlorine gas and its purple. however, in the episode S05E01: Crimes of the Hot, Nibbler drinks the whole pool w/ water included "leaves", he spits out the chloric gas and it comes out green. comments? suggestions? different ideas on why? maybe different producer?

also, for you math brainiacs, i didnt catch the two serial numbers of both Bender and Flexo, but they are related cause their serial numbers are the "sum of two cubes". can anyone figure out the two numbers which make up the cubes for both bending bots?

Obviously nibbler's digestive system turned the gas green.

Also if Bender's smart enough to work out that his and flexo's serial numbers are both the sum of two cubes, and it only takes a moment for him to realise, why is it that he says to fry;

BENDER: I need a calculator

FRY: You are a calculator

BENDER: No a good calculator!

just wondering.. oh wait now i know why, cos it was funny

Chlorine gas appears normally as yellowish-green, so I don't think it was Nibbler's digestive system that did that. I'm not sure why it was purple though...

Whoever colored it purple must have made a mistake.  Either that, or it wasn't really chlorine, and Flexo was just messing with Fry's mind.

As I recall, his chest-compartment was closed. Presumably he was sealed, and there was no way for the chlorine to enter his chassis.
Yeah.. Yeah, that's the ticket...   :rolleyes:

i know i should probably be studying for that calc exam next week, but instead ive figured out the answer to BarbadosSlim's question.

Bender: 952^3 + (-951)^3 = 2716057
Flexo:  119^3 + 119^3 = 3370318

According to the Anthology of Interest commentary, the barf was green because the Fox censors found brown barf too offensive.
