Just a niggly thing I noticed while watching "a Roswell that Ends Well" on Chnl 4 this moring was that in the ep, when Eanus reaches into Benders head and pulls out the micro chips and boards etc. How was it so easy for him to pull out, is there some "crazy" new form of "soldering" in the future. And how come Bender did not recive a drop in intelligence after this happened?

Again if this has been done before im sorry.....

Maybe it was back up systems in his brain incase his main brain crashed or something.

Bender was exercising sarcasm. Those weren't his brains, those were merely his sarcasm inhibitor chips.

I watched that on c4 too, great episode no matter how much you watch it.
Anywayz, I think his chips became loose from when they crashed, and his intelligence did'nt drop because he only uses 40% of his brain anyway and wasn't using those particular chips.

In "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back" all of Bender's mind, other than the mechanical bending routines, fit on a floppy disk.

Since his head wasn't on his body, they could have been chips that control his body, so he wasn't really using them when Eanus ate them, so it didn't affect anything. Like what cosmic j said, "he wasn't using those particular chips" because they might have been ones that control his body function. I'm not sure if that makes sense though because I don't know anthing about robotics/electronics/computers or whatever category this is.

Obviously it couldnt have been anything too important. Plus in the end it was funny and thats what matters

True. Sorry. Well maybe Bender was just being overdramatic by calling a few chips his brain!

Maybe it was compressed into a Zip folder first.

You can get 4 megabyte disks, and Zip discs which aren't much bigger can store 250Mb using optical technology instead of magnetic. Anyway, it's the year 3000, don't you think they invented something better by then?

A combination of wireless technology and friction fitting! Or dry solder joints. You probably need HDTV to tell exactly  ;)

Redundancy, in case other board(s) fail.
