B-Movie reference in The Sting?

I recall a B-Movie shown on MST3K called Tormented.  It was a B&W movie where some guy accidently pushes a woman off a lighthouse and her ghost haunts him. 

In the scene in The Sting where everyone chants to Leela, "You Killed Fry" it was almost the same as the scene in the movie where the ghost of the woman's head chants, "Tom Stewart Killed Me!"  Is that where the writers maybe got the idea from for that episode?

I saw a B-movie(i think it was any way due to the fact that it at like 12noon) with Katey Sagal in it where she played a house

Sort of... She was like a Robot Avatar of the house.

I'll be damned if I can remember what this film was called. I've never actually seen it, you see.

OH! Smart House! It was a made-for-TV movie on Disney channel, and I think it was made in the time of Futurama being new episodes. I'm a teenager and was into Disney Channel back in the day...meaning about 5 years ago.
