Well, this is pointless since you edited your post to remove the word "future", but I'll go ahead anyways.

Clearly the use of "future" in your post was to indicate far into the future, like say the year 3000. Whereas 2008 is but a few years away and can be considered "current". Further, transport tubes would never have that many technological leaps within 4 years that would make them a viable method.

Firstly, I didn't edit my post to remove the word 'future' because it's still there, as you then go on to say, thus ruining the first part of your argument. Furthermore, had I edited my post to remove that word, how would I have been able to anticipate what you were going to then say?

Secondly, how the hell do you know which way I meant to use the word, 'future', as you are very clearly not me...?

Thirdly, any moment of time which has not yet been experience is considered the future. (Collins Dictionary: The time yet to come.)

Finally, not every suggestion has to be viable, that's the whole beauty of PEEL, as well as Freedom of Speech!

Maybe we'll have "homicide booths" by 2008.  The net revenge factor alone would shoot that industry straight to the top.

I'm in favour of them. They'd make things a hell of a lot easier, all round.

Firstly, my mistake. Furthermore, you would have edited after I made my post.

Secondly, this is Futurama, we are talking about suicide booths from Futurama, it is natural to assume we are talking about the Futurama future. To be more exact, the Stop-n-Drop suicide booths, according to their slogan, were introduced in 2008. Thus, again, it's natural to assume we are talking about 2008, as I stated before. Further, also as stated before, transport tube networks and precision organ harvesters will not spring up by 2008, thus making your claim void.

Thirdly, yes, that is a definition of future but when most people speak of the future, they usually have some time locked in their mind as to what they are talking about. Perhaps you just wave terms freely without thinking about them.

Lastly, I thought the beauty of PEEL was the beauty of Futurama: Logic instead of magic. I guess PEEL is different. My mistake.

That's my point exactly, 'it's natural to assume we are talking about 2008,' and 2008 is in the future.
As for your second point, that is exactly what I said I didn't think was a necessity. As I previously posted, it didn't occur to me that EVERY comment had to be viable- rather, just Futurama inspired.

Anywho, this is getting old, well argued!

Obviously we'd have them so the police would know who the unstable are! They'd haul off our bodies later, though I don't see the point. We'd only rot in the evidence locker.

But...but... the Stop-'n-Drop automatically vaporizes its clients when done with them. The cops have nothing to do with it.

Speaking of the death penelty aparently suicide used to be a hangable offence, in England anyway, don't know about the states though, we used to, nay, still hay have some strange laws ie- if you place a stamp on an envelope upside down it was considered treason (somethin' about defacing a portriaght of the queen), which in the good ol' days you would be hanged for!
