I don't know if this has been done before but here goes.
Has anyone noticed any mistakes in the Futurama Comics? If you have, tell us about them!
Here's an example: In #19 when Fry gets punched by the omicronian he has handcuffs on, but when he's on the ground they are gone.
See if you can find some more. (I'm new here so go easy on me!)

In the first comic of the Time Bender trilogy Leela says she can't call her parents cause they don't have a video phone. But we saw in Less than Hero that they do.

the no video phone could be easily explained that maybe there video phone was stolen or broken

i don't have my comics with me at the moment, but i believe the reason she sites for them not having one was that they were mutants. I think the line was something like "my parents don't have a video phone, they're mutants."

If she said that, it's a pretty contradictory thing for her to say, seeing as she's a mutant too...

The comics simply aren't cannon. Has Teral taught you nothing?  ;)

And the line was "And mine are mutants. They don't have phones.", which is definitely contradictory.

I have come to the conclusion that the plot errors and continuity of the comics is because the comics are set in one of the alternate universes that Professor 1 created with the help of Professor A.

I suppose because, in "Less Than Hero," we find out that mutants DO have phones.  They also have Internet access, since they were able to look at Zapp's web page.

I got another one! In issue #5 one of the contestants is a mutant (Raoul I think his name is) I thought that mutants weren't allowed above ground. And if he won the money what would he do with it? Go back to the sewers and go to the Dry cleaners? Pfft!

Maybe the network got him a surface pass so they could exploit him for sweeps.

Heh! Probably. In issue #10 when they go onto the arena the shark team are ready to play. But when Planet Express start to play the sharks are gone. What happened to them?

This is probably more of an art error, but in a few comics (especially the ones in Futurama Adventures), whenever Bender "closes" his eyes, we see him with firmly shut dark grey eyelids, rather than just two thin strips of yellow, as in the show.  Always bugged me, the eyelids.

On the first page of issue 8, bender has four fingers.

The mistakes don't bother me, they don't take anything away from the stories, but on the other hand, the show was so keen to avoid any errors (or at least explain them), so why not in the comics?

I never noticed that. I'm going to go check it later. I wish that they did try harder to make the comics like the show, though.    :hmpf:

Has anyone got any more mistakes to share with us?
