PEELie: Best Reviewer 2011

The first PEELie Poll is up. Who is the best reviewer? The candidates are all fairly well-known, and have all been pretty vocal during the latest season. It'll be open soon, but for now, all you can do is discuss the options.

Neat-o, I made the poll! Though I am of course always impressed with my own, uh, brilliant observations about Futurama, I think I'm going to go with spira here. She's been a really active, articulate, thoughtful, and kind reviewer ever since joining PEEL. Also, if she wins it's kind of like I'm winning anyway, what with the two of us being the same person and all.

I always love Gorky's in-depth reviews, and I generally agree with them (except for her Ghost in the Machines review). Gorks it is!

futurefreak because they're passionate, fun to read, relatable and well thought-out. Very true to herself in the opinions she puts across, and it helps that I mostly agree with her too ...

Nobody even nominated me! Why am I on this poll? winna at least nominated Otis and Danny... I dare say, the PEELies are rigged!

I'm gonna go for Gorky on this one. I've always really enjoyed her reviews. And she usually has the same opinions as mine and expresses them so much better than I ever could.

Not publically, anyhow. There were private nominations sent to the council, the council have held multiple meetings and discussions, and the council's members also made their own nominations. These all had an effect on the standings.

The proceedings are not "rigged". They are and have been carefully monitored and tweaked from time to time, but they're not being manipulated to serve any sort of agenda. Let's be quite clear on that.

Gorky's got consistently great, insightful reviews, and she's been creating new review threads for old episodes because they hadn't existed yet. I like that

This is another under-represented poll. I do wonder if the on-topic people have been made fully aware that this is happening?

Some of the posters in Ontopic do not post in offtopics. For example, in PE Stockroom I can name a handful of posters who ONLY post in that forum and nowhere else on the board.
