The only eligible person who has said anything that's been close to POTM material this month is winna, and I feel like that's a choice that'll bring about the apocalypse. I feel like we should cancel it this month, in the hope that this will motivate people not to suck so hard next month.

Everybody who has mentioned a certain toad as an "honourable mention" or a real vote deserves to be hurled into a pit of lava. Everybody who has mentioned an ineligible nominee deserves to be crushed under a mountain of ice. You all know who you are, and why you should meet this fate.

In fact, fuck it. Nobody (myself included) has had a particularly sparkling month, so everybody deserves to be banned. Yes. That everybody. Any1else's fake account.

I remember when it actually used to be difficult to decide who to nominate because so many people used to be so good. These last few months, it's been so much harder because so many people suck so hard, and all the people who deserve to even be nominated tend to be on the list of the past twelve winners. Or perhaps I'm just in a bad mood. Maybe I'll have thought of a couple of other people who don't outright deserve to be publicly flogged for being terrible PEELers by this time tomorrow. Maybe.

But I'm not going to hold my breath for it.

NB: The standard rules^* apply when reading this post: - If it seems too harsh, fuck you and fuck everything that you hold dear. To ashes. With a dead stoat. I agree with tnuk that this has been a rather mediocre month, mainly due to the annoying circlejerkiness on On-Topic (the awful "X becomes a cop" fad comes to mind).
 
I do, however, disagree with the idea that nobody's worth nominating. It's not that bad; but I swear, if Hippy Toad wins then I will personally murder a puppy.

Yet you can apply the rationale that you made an honourable mention of it because it wasn't a nomination but was mentioned as having been somewhere in the same ballpark as being worthy of one, despite not being selected as such. Which is what the phrase "honourable mention" has come to mean on PEEL. As ever, context is everything. Whilst you did not use the word, you used the form and meaning of the word, and therefore deserve to be hurled into a pit of lava.

The pit should then be hurled into a slightly larger pit of lava for your attempt to weasel out of being in the group deserving of being hurled into a pit of lava.
