She was just a dream. Also: I agree for making the votes hidden, but I think you should be allowed to change your vote. Is that even possible? Secret poll with the option to change which particular option you went with? That way, I'd say that it's fair. And at the end of the 5th day, if there's a tie, a tie-breaker poll can then be opened. I'd say it influences peoples decisions a lot more when they can see the person in the lead, but I know I've wanted to change my vote before, because I've picked at random and then remembered later something awesome that a different user did.

I don't think that's actually possible, keeping the poll secret and allowing changes. I'm actually three. You're talking to neutral Nutmeg just now. I bound and gagged Nice Nutmeg and Evil Nutmeg It's always the quiet ones...

She was just a dream. Awww, she was fun And afaik it is possible to make a blind poll where you can change your vote.

Changing your vote seems like a pretty crappy way to run it. I mean, if it's a blind poll but several people have announced "I voted for [-mArc-]" and you voted for winna... you might decide to switch votes to [-mArc-] just so you're in with the majority. Because people are stupid and fickle like that. It's a partial subversion of the reasons for having a blind poll in the first place, IMO.

Could one decline being nominated for a month? No. If you're the best poster during a given month, that's entirely your fault and you can't shirk the responsibilities of your behavior.

Really fantastic work [-mArc-], that poll organization made options so much easier. It seems that those who voted are in favor of a more traditionalist POTM style, which I like. No. You'll still be nominated, and then you'll get super banned and be unable to stop people from voting for you as well.

So, how exactly will ties be handled now in nominations?

I think we'll be taking the first 10 persons to get to the point of being elegible for the poll, and caressing them lovingly whilst we slap the shit out of the other candidates who weren't quite good enough. Then a mod makes the poll, and the lovingly caressed PEELers are thrown to the metaphorical lions of the public vote. Such a beautiful contrast. It's almost winna-esque.

And if we have a tie in the voting poll, do a runoff election for a couple of days. Whoever makes the poll can edit it as well.

Yes, I feel like we should try to figure out the tie procedure (both for nominations and voting) now rather than when it becomes an issue. So, to recap so I'm understanding correctly: - Ties in nominations go to whomever received their last nomination first. (like old times)
- Ties in polls go to a run-off between the top two.
This correct? Was the idea of having a minimum amount of nominations to get into the poll scraped? If you went back to 2006 and informed people that in five years I'd have the word "Moderator" written under my avatar, they'd probably tell you the same thing. Can we go back to when I had that word under my avatar? Please? I've killed myself once, I'm willing to do it again!
