I voted for Doug. Always tongue-in-cheek, always shootin' stuff and ridin' motorcycles, always making sauce out of bacon and putting it on his cereal, always reminiscing about the thundervan and swilling Dr. Thunder and wearing t-shirts with his avatar on the front at peelcons, and appearing in The Peeltrix as a repeat victim of larceny perpetrated by the protagonists. Aslate is great, don't get me wrong. But DougThunder comes out on top.

This is a really difficult decision. On one hand, DrT is possibly the most consistently funny poster here. On the other hand, I really don't want to get on the wrong side of Aslate, for various reasons that I will not mention.

The name Doug is sort of a mistake. Apparently there was some confusion years ago, and we thought he was named Doug. I've perversely continued to call him that in the face of all logic.

Also, that is one of my favorite Far Side cartoons ever. Well played. And I own the huge-ass Complete Far Side that weighs 15 pounds and I have read through it a few times, so be assured I know my subject material.
