flood control

is something wrong with the flood control? Sometimes i'll post something, leave, come back like 10 minutes later to post something new and i get the flood control message. There have been times when i have received flood control on my first post of the day.

Infact, it just happened now as i was trying to post this thread and it's been over 3 minutes since my last post!

Me too. Try relogging in before making a post if you get the flood control thing.

It happens to me and Archie2k, because we live in the same city and use the same ISP, so our IPs are similar enough to fool the system into thinking we're the same person.

I think it happens to most people fron time to time, it certainly happened to me before I got made a mod.

It never happened to me, ever.

Except for when I tried to post twice within a minute.  But I haven't had to worry about that for two years now.

It's not a case of posting twice within a minute.  On occasion I've logged on to PEEL, and my first attempt to post has been blocked by flood control.

You already told us that in your first reply, it doesn't make it more true if you spam repeat it.

Disable "use proxy" somewhere in your connection settings if you got problems with this.
If your ISP uses transparent proxies which you can't disable and thus end up with the exact same IP as others, tough luck. Only a new ISP with the option for direct access to the internet can help you.
