Rife With Liberals

That's gotta be the third time today I used 'rife' in a post, alright, I'm just a little curious, this place more liberal than most boards, I came here and I was careful bout what I said at first cause I liked this place and didn't wanna get kicked out, and since I've gradually just turned into myself all over again, you gotta understand I've been kicked out for life for acting like myself on several boards, so what's the deal? Does this place have any real official type rules or do you just make it up as you go along and generally go for the path of least resistance?

Be civil and things are fine. I think we even have 2 more or less conservative mods here. Never picked them for their political view.

I think you mean social, not liberal, but maybe that's just the skewed nomenclature you use there.

I wasn't referring to Liberal's politically, I meant the real meaning, as in, being liberal, letting things slide, I tend to have my own (yeah, skewed) way of talking.

As in liberal in contrast to regulatory (eg, no gun-control is a actually liberal agenda)?

Anyway, I don't think I banned anyone for these things. Futurama just attracts more (politically) liberal/social people (might have to do with the writers).

Some of us don't fit neatly into any one category.  Some of us have a collection of opinions that are borrowed from all over the political and philosophical spectrum.  It's probably best to just try to get to know the people as individuals.  But I know that's not what you were asking.  I think the mods are willing to take a relaxed attitude so long as you're respectful to others.

I love these political threads, one of the things i love about PEEL. There's a wide range of political views and people here post reasoned discussions, not "Haha, I'm right, you're all wrong  " type posts.

OK, one thing I didn't notice before because I only skimmed the post was a direct attack from one peeler against a peelette on grounds of her origin/ethnicity. That's what I won't be tolerating as it has nothing to do with civil discussion. If I see that again, that will have consequences.
You can make yourself look stupid within reasonable limits, but putting others down like that is offlimit.

Celts, saxons, angles, jutes, danes, vikings... take your pick.  The normans were the invaders that took over during saxon times, right after ALfred managed to unite the kingdom under a saxon king for the first time.  Literally months after his coronation.  You have to feel a little sorry for the guy...  But of course that was about 1000 years ago.
