A "small" problem with speed

Is it only me, or peel certainly become much slower last days? Sometimes I wait for several minutes to get a page.

It was very slow for a short period yesterday, I got "server unreachable" a few times, and had to wait a few minutes when posting.

Other than that it's been fine since.

At the moment, it's fine for me.  But I am at work, therefore connected via T1 - so it's fast.

It seems fast enough now, some times it just goes slow for no obvious reason

I have also experienced this. I thought it was just my provider who was lagging, since they are upgrading their hardware.

I never had any problem with Speed, Speed 2 however was a disaster. 

I experience it too from time to time, but it's usual due to heavy traffic on the Internet, since it's mostly around 1600-2000 CET.

I have a problem with Speed - He has to have a hernia operation, so he'll miss the Wales-Azerbaijan game.

Yesterday it was insanely slow, only on PEEL. It was quite annoying.

There sometimes just is some slow down with posting and the different board views. It happens when the server peel is on has other stuff to do. Usually the hosting company monitors things and switches CPU intensive things over to less filled servers. Just lean back and wait some

I kept having problems yesterday. Once it took 5 minutes just to load one page on here. Sometimes I couldn't even get to the main page. This is the first time I've actually been able to post today. Earlier I got the the main page but that took about 7 minutes and earlier I couldn't even get here. Now it's working fine.

I'm on a crappy 56k dial-up and PEEL loads fine for me.  Never really had much of a problem loading pages or posting.  No more than any other place I visit.

It's working fine with my PC, exept the General Disscussion board. That's a little slow.

It was a little slow recently, and I think it had nothing to do with my arkward internet connection. Loading the General Discussion Forum is really slowww...

The General Forum had a problem with some threads which I hopefully fixed now. I'd like to ask the mods not to delete any threads there (just close them) for a while, till I find out if that was the problem.

But the general forum has the most threads, all the other forums have less threads and are much easier to load, thus deleting all those threads nobody cares about anymore do sound like a good idea.

I get some really bad lags on PEEL.  Sometimes it's so bad that it effectively results in a dead link.  I'll click on a link and the browser just hangs there indefinitely loading.  I only get this with PEEL and even then only with some topics in some forums.  Usually they're the topics to which I've posted a message recently.  I'm not sure why that would make a difference but it prevents me from having a rapid exchange with the other members.  Maybe it has something to do with the number of persons viewing that thread?

Sometimes, and I do mean sometimes, I get a "It doesn't exsist" message from my browser *as soon as* I click a link for a message.

I have cable internet, and I thought it was probably one of Comcast's routers (They say that why sometimes my website doesn't showup) but after seeing this thread, I thought I'd mention it.

Interestng to note that after I get the "It ain't here" message from my browser (and I stress it's from the browser, not a 404 message) I simply hit reload and the page loads normally.

BTW: I use Internet Exploiter 6

I'm not having any problems with speed but flood control seems to stopping my posts even after I haven't posted for over a minute! I wonder if this post will post...?
