Yes, sadly they are banned, although there were some requests for custom avatars.

If someone could do this, that'd be great.  If you put my avy on a black background, you'll notice it has a white outline.  I need that outline to be as dark grey as possible, yet still be noticable without effort to see it.  Here's what it looks like with a black background:

With a dark grey outline, you can tell it would look better.  Any improvment would make a difference.  Thanks!

EDIT: Never mind.  You can still try if you want, but chunks did it.

The reason that stuff shows up is because the avatar is made from a framegrab. You have to scan them to do it right. Unfortunately, I have no idea how.

I don't think they're really banned.  It's more that we had a bunch of people jumping on the "I want a custom avatar" bandwagon and it's just too much of a job for anyone (even the almighty slimst0r) to do.  That and we don't have a regular avatar uploader anymore (Travis; I wonder where the hell that boy went)....

I agree that customs are not banned, but the avatar-threads where we could post our wishes are. (btw. will there be a new Avatar-shop-thread if this here gets closed?). I don't know, but could imagine that it was a hard job for the uploader to collect those avatars and sort them to their owners, but I think that that became a bit easier now.
And for a new Uploader: I volunteer, but also doubt that the admins will give any rights to anyone who is still too new here for getting more accesses than normal members have.

I want a "custom" avatar, but it's just a variation of the one I have now.  Earlier on this page, I asked for someone to put a dark grey outline around my avy.  That worked, but not for PEEL.  Now, if I may, could someone please make my avatar, keep the white outline, but make it smoother, because it's really pixelated.  If it's too small a deal, I understand, but there's nothing else going on.  Thanks.

I have an odd request. We brought our dog P-Chan on vacation to North Carolina. My uncle took lots of pictures with his digital camera of everyone, and here's one of P-Chan.

When I got a folder of pictures in my email, he included this bizarre Photoshop.

My Dad LOVES this picture and he'd like an avatar of it. Can anyone make it?
