Flash5 is awesome for avatar making too, well for the tracing part anyway.

I think GermanFryFan takes high quality DVD framegrabs to produce avatars, as oppossed to tracing/scanning them, but I normally wouldn't recommend that. I find PSP fine for tracing in avys...

Yes I do (cos I have them, the high quality frames), but they aren't necessary, I think.

If you are going to redraw the lines anyway with darker colors, it isn't that much work to fill the outline with new colors.
PSP is brillant for this, because it can handle different layers of a pic. (The framegrab in the background, and the outline/colors in layers above it). When your work is done, delete the backgroundlayer and merge the other layers, resize to 64x64, set backround color to transparent. That's it.

They don't work because they are in a wrong format. bmp is a microsoft format, which has no compression and therefore is not used on the internet. Convert them to .jpg or .gif and it should work.

I give up, no matter how I edit this link, it is allways too long, and the ubb decoder pastes in spaces where there shouldn't be any. When I click Preview all is well, but when submitted all's crap again

Actually the reason the links don't work is the space between "big" and "bender" in the first one and "46754" and "72051" in the second one. No spaces allowed in UBB code URL's.

In PSP 6, in the menu "colors" --> "set transparency", click on the background of the pic and that's all.

I know Teral. The first on is a %20, which should be ok, but the second shouldn't even be there (this is one number that belongs together), but if I delete this space, it shows up again after I submitted the changes.

Go over to the Join the avy-Thread in the Offtopic-Board and post it there with Upload to Custom underneath it.

Please leave also a note that it shouldn't be added to the pool, because sheep555 made a zip-file containing it, for the pool.

One more thing to say: You'll have to wait reaaaaaal long until this is uploaded. I'm waiting for 3 weeks now.

Off the site it says the accepted files are:
"Images: .bmp  .gif  .jpg  .jpeg  .png   NOTE: BMPs do not work on PEEL."
EDIT: I just proved myself wrong, they do work! However, for 56k users i will be removing the ability to upload BMPs. The real problem was it had a space. I have changed the script and it will account for this problem by removing spaces in filenames.

I converted the image to a .gif and cropped it for you:

Here you go. I do advise scanning for avys (I think you're using a framegrab, but I'm not sure), and you'll get better quality if you save it as a GIF (you'll won't "JPG Artifacts", and cartoon avys only have a limited colour palette anyway). I also brightened it up a bit, as it was a bit on the dark side.

No those arent south park as adults, its an episode where they get ninja weapons and the entire episode is shot like an anime. My favorite of this past season. But thanks a whole lot for the avy dude. I owe ya one gff.
