Kind of Off-topic but here goes:
If I was going to create a title graphic for a site, would 961 pixels wide be too big for most moniters?? I think it might be.

Oh, you betcha.  I think 800 x 600 is the width most people have.

Yeah yeah, 800 x 600.

Mitsui, if you want to do something like that, you should probably make two formats for your site.  One made to fit a resolution of 800 x 600 and maybe another one to fit a resolution of 1024 X 768 or 1152 X 864.

Does anyone know where to get some decent desktop wallpapers in 1280 x 960 format? Even the standard XP wallpaper looks a bit pixelated at this resolution.

That's one weird screen resolution.

I could try and do one or two, but don't hold your breath, you'll go blue.

Eh, works for me.

It's the highest resolution my monitor can display while keeping a refresh rate of 85Hz.

I use 1152x864 and still need more space... I think 1280x960 is for widescreen monitors.

Nah, it's directionally proportionate to 640 x 480, 800 x 600 and your resolution too Lucas.

Ben, did you mean you wanted Futurama wallpapers? Otherwise I often pick up some pretty cool things at www.digitalblasphemy.com  which have a range of sizes of all their wallpapers (and if that doesn't work, you can always just pick one and resize it cuz they are directly proportionate)

Thanks Ninaka. I had the mushroom one from there when I had my laptop, but I'd forgotten about it.

Yeah I had that same one for months - maybe even a year! Now I got something similar from there, in the same style as the mushrooms... It's called anen--something something... I forget. It's pretty sweet.

I've created a picture I want to use as a sig on Paint, and made both JPG and GIF copies of it.  But I can't upload either from the edit profile screen.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

It wouldn't upload because the ending was GIF, not gif.  Once I changed that there was no problem.
