Actually Applepie, if you post a picture of the avatar you want in this thread, I'll probably allow your custom avatar privelages.  I request that people share what they want as a custom avatar so that I know they understand the rules.  It has to be 64x64 in either .gif or .png format, and it has to look kind of nice so that it fits well with the rest of the board.

There are plenty of people here from all different parts of the world, so we usually only get upset when the people using grammar incorrectly actually are dumbdumbs and Englisch is their native language.

Uhm, since you are using PNG, can't you use a more 'clean' alpha channel between content and transparency, it looks very rough right now.

Otherwise, goody.  Unless of course your hair is not like that from that angle.

My hair doesn't look completely like that.  I can't draw my hair :C  But for the most part that's it.  Uhm I tried my best to make a clea Alpha.  I can't do Alpha channel so this is the best we got...

It was an unspoken tradition that they face the posts.  I'm pretty sure that's not an absolute though, and I certainly don't follow it.  Ferriam, your avatar must face the left.

Not so much new as renewed, I think. During the dark ages (between old and new futurama) almost no rules were actually enforced around here, but I'm fairly sure the rules are based on the tastes of [-mArc-], which have likely not changed.

I don't think yours in particular is the type of avatar he actually objects to tho; he just prefers general rules that let him avoid appearing to take sides.

Google image searched "santa hat", saved a good one to desktop, opened with GIMP, made the background transparent, scaled the image, copied visible, saved your avy to desktop, opened in GIMP, pasted, dragged floating selection to appropriate place. Simples.
