And they are both too big anyhow.

So press them down to exact 64x64 and make them transparent. 

(a little less pixeled as well if you may  )

Looking good Beelzebot, you just left out few spots around it to be transparent. In those case I'd recommend to actually scan the picture again (trace it over with lines).

No, you can't. For various reasons:

• avatars have to be exact 64x64 in width and height
• avatars have to be smaller than 3.4 kb in file size

and most important :

• avatars are not allowed to be animated
