Hey all!

I am just asking what Futurama means, cause I saw this episode for a show called Kenen and Kel, and the episode title was called 'Futurama' and the description for it, was that 'Kenan and kel wonder what life would be like in the yr 3000'

Now at the risk of sounding stupid, is there a connection to the word 'Futurama' and the yr 3000?

thanx

The word was invented for the 1939 World's Fair in New York (and "Futurama" was the name of a very popular trip to the year 1960)  :)

He's right, you know. I saw a program on TV about the 1939 Worlds' Fair, & Futurama was a small-scale-model visual trip to the 1960s...complete with clover-leaf interstate expressways & all. It was a big push by the auto industry.  ;)

*laugh* That's a German joke, I guess. I don't think any American will get it.

The joke is, that there is a German butter-brand called "Rama". And why the hell shouldn't naked people sell butter? To me it seems like goods bought from naked people have a far higher price or can you otherwise explain the high cost of beer in topless bars =;-)))
