I think this has been done before, I imagined a thread named "What made it special", but couldn't find it. it might also be possible that my mind is cheating on me.    ;)

Here are some I found:

What is the joke that defined Futurama for you?
The Main Issue of Futurama
The episode that defines Futurama?

edit: Ok, I see this point \/ there.

But there are threads that probably cover this topic better, though they are old.

What makes Futurama so good?
What are the qualities you most miss about the show

In the links germanfryfan pointed out there isn't what I'd answer to benderzoid's question:

There is an uncountable number of parodies of different movies in. You can watch these episodes thousands of times and still find something new.

Almost everything is silly and can't be taken serious. You'll hardly find another cartoon series offering that.

Some characters like Zapp or Zoidy Poo say stupid things in every sentence. It's just funny to hear them speak.

I could write an infinite list but I don't.

When I first heard about Futurama, I thought it wasn't going to be any good.  I thought it was going to be a Simpsons clone. Once I watched the first episode, I thought it was okay, and I was wrong about it being a Simpsons clone.  Then by the second episode, I was hooked!

Another reason why I like it it's because of it's sophisticated humor and social commentary.  And that fact it takes place 1,000 years from now.  We need shows like this, because nobody knows what's going to happen 1,000 years from now, and Futurama even though it's a fantasy kind of gives an idea of what life might be like then.

If only Futurama had come out in the early 1990's.
Back then we needed a show like this!

I think it's a good show because I genuinely like the Planet Express crew, and think they have more soul then any of the Simpsons ever did. If the show were to just focus on jokes, I don't think it would be as good, but there's actual motivations and personalities behind Fry, Leela, and Bender for what they do and say.

I like Bender's "in your face" attitude.

Same for me.  But I didn't come into it until the second season.  Even then I had to watch a couple of episodes before it took.

What I like about futurama?  I like the fact that I can watch it hundreds of times and not be bored with it.  The humor is in a class of its own.  And as Billy West has said on at least one of the audio comentries "this show has more layers than an onion".

Thats what I like about futurama I have more but I'm tired
