As some of the UK members may be aware there is an SMS text service called 'Any Question Answered' (AQA) where you send any question and they answer it (spl'uh).  I thought I'd give it a bash...

Q1: Which is better, the simpsons or futurama?
A1: Whilst Futurama has been cancelled (there were 72 episodes in all) and Simpsons continues, Futurama is better - doesn't need songs/dances to make it good

Having passed the judgement assessment, I sought to discover the answer some of those niggling questions that have occupied the minds of the worlds finest and nerdiest for the last few years...

Q2: What is the greatest futurama episode of all time?
A2: The greatest futurama of all time is Parasites Lost. The one when Fry eats an egg-sandwich from a vending machine at a gas station

(I always thought it was 'Luck of the Fryrish' but what do I know- I'm only neutral)

Q3: Who is the best futurama character?
A3: Bender (bite my shiny metal ass) is the best Futurama character, followed by Zoidberg. Hermes is at the bottom of the pile.

(I can sense the retort from the Amy Wong crowd coming any minute...)

And finally:

Q4: Should they bring back futurama?
A4: They should, but it never will happen. Instead, we're going to get drearier and drearier episodes of the Simpsons.

(there's that 0.00005% chance gone)

Best 4 quid I've ever spent!
Scifly

*Agrees*

My friend got a Simpsons motion lamp yesterday for her birthday... and I died a little inside.

A computer or person sitting behind one is hardly an authoratative source.  Though most of us (inculding me) would tell you that you wasted that 4 quid, because we already knew that  :p

The "gloomy" prediciton sums up my feelings.  I know that actions will be ignored, so why bother?  If they wanted to bring it back, it would be back when Family Guy returned to production.  So it is very unlikely that it will return.

Yeah, exactly.  This is just some random guy's opinion.  It has no more bearing then that of anyone on this board, or anyone in the world for that matter.  Better to just form your own opinions and preferences without spending your money like that.

I agree with that, Futurama doesn't need songs or dances. But there are several episodes in which there actually are at least songs:
"A tale of two Santas", "A Taste of Freedom"...

"Finally.  I have lots of inner thoughts that can only be expressed through dance.  (You suck.  Bender is great.  Deal with it).  He he!"

As a student in the UK, AQA means exams and therefore is very very evil.

Heh, I knew Futurama was better than Simpsons long before that opinion became cool  :)

I personally hate singing and dancing in Simpsons, but I love it in Futurama. Somehow,  I find it pathetic in Simposons, but cool in Futurama.

My way of judging futurama vs simpsons is, when i'm in a bad mood, what can cheer me up more, and its futurama every time, i end up in the same stupid mood im in very often

A pet peeve of mine is when people state their opinions as facts. I think Bender's overrated (still great though).

It matters how you look at it, When simpsons hit its PRIME ( on its 4th season) it was hilarious. but lets look at all the other aspects

  SIMPSONS(PRIME)              Futurama(all)
Funny:   5                          5
Story:   5                          5
Art:     3                          5
Sound    3                          4
All:     4                          4 3/4

i used actual math in this demonstration

Yes, I feel like singing along with Futurama songs, whereas I cringe and mute the Simpsons. (There are exceptions, though)
