I picture the Popplers to taste like popcorn chicken. Gives me "The Craving" for it each time I see that episode.

They're the same cereals.  It's just that the cartoon mascots have been promoted a few times during the centuries between now and then.

Sometimes I get cravings for Manwich while watching Futurama, but that doesn't really count, since Manwich actually exists.

Every time I see Fry and the Slurm Factory, I always picture Slurm tasting like the soda Surge or Mountain Dew, only with me lemon-lime flavor.  Also, when Fry was eating that Concentrated Slurm and couldn't save his friends, without dragging the tank, I always think that Concentrated slurm tasted like 7up flavored jello, because it sort of looked like green jello.

I've always thought it would be interesting to try a poppler.  Find out why everyone loved them so much.

For Slurm, I've went more along the lines of it tasting like Mountain Dew.

If we're going to have cereals with altered names such as Admiral Crunch and Archduke Chocula, I propse we also have Unlucky Charms, Cinnamon Bread Crunch, Golden Shower Grahams, Fr00t L00pz0rs, Uber Noobers, Poopy Chew, and a slew of other stuff.

Also, I'd like to eat Nibbler. But then he'd probably eat me from the inside out, which would be painful.

The miniature fruit salad tree always makes me hungry. I eat too damn healthy for my own good. Also, I tend to wonder how horrific that Zoidberg-tainted bathtub eggnog must taste.

Hmmm...If Slurm tasted like lemon-lime Jello, I'd probably drink it. As long as I didn't think about where it came from...  I think popcorn chicken's  magically delicious, so Popplers would be fine with me. (Just don't tell the Omicronians) Have you noticed all the food in Futurama kinda has a downside...?  :hmpf:

It makes me wonder if they do copyright the names when shows create these products. For instance a company could put Slurm and Duff for sale and it would sell millions...maybe even Fox could take a cut, maybe. Makes you wonder why they haven't done it already.

my guess for Slurm would be it's impossibly sweet and tastes vaguely fruity from the whumpus berries, but strangely earthy from slug mucus, with an un-explainable synthetic flavor(like all sodas today).

it'll go down your throat thick and gooey like chowder but with a good fizz (from worm gut fermentation). you get a pleasant head buzz as you finish the last gulp. but you have to reach for another can because the first made you crave the buzz, and also more thirsty. all this while your teeth and internal organs are slowly eaten away.

Enjoy!

It's been done a brewery company in South Australia started a brand of beer called Duff (my uncle even has a can of theyres at his house). Anyway yes FOX (simpsons) did take legal action, not too sure what went down all i know is they certaintly dont make it anymore. This is going back a couple years now.

Slurm looks really good!
espeially cause I know where it comes from!

(I kid I kid)

I would think of Slurm to be thicker than soda like jello sort of but with a different taste

i would definately like to try slurm. even if it is made in a colossal worm heiny.
i've always imagined it being very sweet, somewhat more viscous than normal soda, and tasting like... hm... i'm not sure how to describe it.
