If you answer the poll tell me why? And if I've missed some put them in your own post. I can't reedit the poll. And plus that's "death" not "seath".     :p      :)

i gotta go with either Fry or Leela in "The Sting". My favorite episode complete with plenty of emotions and plot twists.

Defintitely the best near death episode.

Best?

The Sting.  Just because the episode itself was stirring and  brilliant.

Funniest?

Bender in AOI2 (Wooooh!  Wooooooh!  woooooooooh)

i said bender in aoi2, it was the funniest, so very funny, hehehe. but it was very close, i had to think of fry in love and rocket, and fry in the sting, and bender in aoi1, they were all so good, and bender was so funny. why aren't all of the deaths from aoi1 on there, with the prof., scruffy, bender, cubert, and all the rest that leela killed?

I voted for other, by which I mean That Guy in Future Stock. What could be more humourous and disturbing than death by boneitis? Awsome, awsome to the max!

How did Zoidberg almost die in AWITM?

I'm going to have to go with the Sting also, since it is a brilliant episode, and it made me cry.  Yeah, I cried. I'm man enough to admit it

Im going for other:

The whole Suicide-booth scene in SP3000 was just hilarious.
Bender: "Bring it on baby!"
Fry: "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh..."

Fry being stung.

It's set up just right, with all the warnings about the bees, the previous dead crew, Fry insisting on not going, etc. so that before the fact it looks like just another dangerous mission, but afterward looks like a disaster that was bound to happen.

And the funeral and immediate scenes after are just right too, all the references not just to old eps, but to Fry's impact on everybody. This'd be a great alternate ending to the Sting, and a more final ending to the series as well.

The only thing not quite fitting is that nobody who ever watched TV in their life really thought Fry'd be dead at the 25 minute mark. But maybe it was better to avoid another 'Jurassic Bark' ending, and the twist that brought him back was as good as the parts it followed.

Morberg, right at the start of AWITM, Zoidberg keels over at staff meeting, they say he's dead, but it turns out he just moulted out of his shell, dosn't he?

And speaking of big Z, what about him 'dying' in 'Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles'?

That Guy's death was awesome. The best near death scene was Zoidbergs, simply because of the nature of the death.

Actual death: Farnsworth, Hermes, Bender, Amy, Cubert, Scruffy, Nibbler and Zoidberg in AOI I, part 2.

Near-Death: Leela in "The Sting".

Fry after choking on that little candy heart in Love and Rocket. After how stupid he was acting in that episode(I hate hopeless romantics), I would have laughed if he dropped dead right then.

I voted when Fry dies (supposedly) on the Day The Earth Stood Stupid. When I first saw it I knew he didn't or wouldn't die, but when he tried to defeat the brain but instead got killed it seemed like a cool scene. I don't know why! Get off my back!

Best death: That guy! I love gruesome, disgusto stuff!
Best near death: Fry in The Sting. Ok, so I love the guy!It was so emotional. I was actually starting to cry at the funural scene. I laughed, I cried, I vomitted a little. Of course, the vomitting part could have just been I had the flu when I saw it. Not the first airing, the [as] one. And I didn't even need to get a sponge.   :p

I thought that Fry's near-death in Love and Rocket was great because he was trying to save Leela...Wait. I'm getting deja-vu. Yes, it happened in the Sting also, but the only reason L&R is slightly ahead is 'cause in the Sting, Fry's "death" is just so sad! I knew he couldn't die, he's the main character, but it still tore me up. But that does mean that the Sting was better at invoking emotion...Hmmm. Oh, well.

A tie for me: both deaths in "The Sting". Such a brilliant episode. Thought provoking, emotion prevoking, funny (i.e. the "Bee Happy" song), and definitely one of my favorites.

I'm gonna have to go with all them crabs makin' love and dropping dead in 2ACV05[You know, as opposed to all those episodes in which that occurred.. Heh]..
That Guy definitely had a great, great death.
So did Free Waterfall Jr..
Off the poll, I'd say Bender in AOI2. Just.. Wow. One of the very few things in Futurama to mildly shock my jaded little head.
