I think my first episode may have been "A Leela of Her Own", which may explain why I am much more fond of it than a lot of other PEELers.

Likewise, as my first episode the somewhat unpopular "The Honking" elicits warm smiles from me.
I still haven't managed to determine one favorite episode though.

My first episode was Space Pilot 3000, it is a great episode. I do not know if I would say it is my favorite. It is great though.

Everything Zapp says is hillarious D:, my favourite episode is probably the why of fry, for storyline and pure epicness. The best in a comedic way for me is probably amazon women in the mood, I was in stiches throughout that whole episode, especially the comparisons of fry-zapp and kif pure comedy genius.

Semi-related anecdote: I once played "The Sting" (more or less in its entirety) in my head during church. It. Was. Awesome.
Also, I agree with Josh that "War is the H-Word" is one of the greatest episodes. I just got done watching "Amazon Women in the Mood", and I feel the same way about that one--it's just non-stop hilarity, with the teensiest bit of heart tossed in there for flavor. That's Futurama at its best right there.

My favorite episode of Futurama is also my least favorite. Mainly cause it made me bawl. That one is "Jurassic Bark". My second favorite is "Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch". Mainly becuase I love the idea of pregnant men.

Virtual high-five, man! I think "Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch" is one of the best--and most underrated--episodes around.

And yet "Where the Buggalo Roam" is at the bottom of your list?

"Where the Buggalo Roam" is just so boring to me; it drags. I think "Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch" is funnier, and moves at a faster clip.

I have a lot of favorites. Just to name a few:
My Three Suns Space Pilot 3000 Amazon Women in the Mood
and I know some people didn't care for Bender's Game, but I really enjoyed it, probably my favorite of the movies.

Here (as a .xls) is the mighty grand spreadsheet dissecting Futurama Episode Survivor 2005 and 2009 and comparing them to CGEF (Rotten Tomato Community for movies, as there are no CGEF) ratings. The ^ and v are how many spots the moved from 2005 to 2009. I tiered episodes into 8 almost-even groups based their ratings: God, Great, Good, Okay, Meh, Bad, Ugly, and Stinker. The most interesting stat is the tier averages, which are found below the rankings. As you can see, the 2005 Survivor was closer to "truth" with the tiering. The disparity in 2009 (high tiers actually being lower, low tiers being inflated) is due to the movies. Into the Wild Green Yonder was at 10; being a good tier, that was actually inflation. However, Bender's Big Score was a great tier and dropped to 64 (should be at lowest 18), Bender's Game was okay but dropped to 70 (should be at lowest 37), and The Beast with a Billion Backs was okay but dropped to 76, also known as last place. Due to these deflations of the movies, the lower tiers moved up on average. This deflation could've been due to sentiments about the movies in their immediate wake. Additionally, CGEF rankings may be a little kooky; The Farnsworth Parabox is meh by their standard but 10th in 2005 and 14th in 2009 (Great Tier territory), and Mother's Day is a stinker but 42nd in 2005 and 33rd in 2009 (Meh and Okay Tier territories respectively). Hopefully that file uploaded correctly!

Doesn't the difference in the voting pool also account for some of the discrepancies between the 2005 Survivor and the one from last year? For example, I know I participated in the more recent Survivor, and not-so-much in the first one (at least not extensively; I think I may have been around for a wee bit before my Not-So-Great Disappearance). A lot of people who participated in 2005 did not participate in 2009, and vice versa.
At any rate, excellent work there, i_c.

But what does it all mean?
I would never expect The Statistician of PEEL be asking that kind of question.

And that line of dialogue was somehow better than almost anything he said in IDGDL.

I liked some of the Zapp-isms in IAGDL. I think the problem with that episode is that Zapp really is the male lead, and maybe he can't sustain an episode of his own when for half of it he's pretending to be Wonder Zapp, wooing Leela with trail mix and such.
