Oh, I think they left some room for the Fry/Leela relationship to grow without screwing up the show.  I agree though, that if you're going to have a wedding day or something permanent like that, save it for the series finale.  To a previous poster who said Fry and Leela are too different to be together...I disagree.  It's kind of because of those differences that they should be together.  They both have gaps in their personalities that the other one fills.  They're like two incomplete jigsaw puzzles, each having pieces that the other is missing.

Exactly!  Very well put, Crash.

Now, about the topic...I'd like to see an episode where we learn more about Morbo, his people, and his personality.  I think he could be a pretty deep character once you get to know him.

I would like to see Amy and Zoidberg get more development already. I mean both of them had an episode or two(Amy moreso perhaps),but they never got their fair share of lead time. Zoidberg could carry it easily, and to those who say Amy is boring I say she never got a chance. I mean, where is the episode where she rebels against her parents? It just screamed to be done! Well I haven't seen most of Season 4 so maybe I just haven't seen it yet.(KGKUAN?)

I would love to see what they would have done with Amy and Leela trying to be roommates(I, Roommate2?) Maybe Fry and Leela get together so Bender lets Zoidberg be his new roommate because he is lonely? All sorts of things to do if you think about it.

Everyone seems to act at one extreme or the other regarding the Fry/Leela relationship, saying they should break up or stay together. Well, in real relationships there are bumps in the road where people break up, but if they love each other, they'll forgive and get back together. Now, doesn't that seem like a lovely compromise?  big grin

Those who choose to alter fate will do so at their own misery.

I think you could continue the series with Fry and Leela's relationship continuing as usual. After all, when I saw Parasites Lost and Time Keeps on Slippin', I wondered how things could possibly return to normal. But they did.

If they had to acknowledge their relationship, perhaps the return of one of Fry's old flames could help us out. Umbriel could somehow become human and return to the land, intent on reconciling with Fry. Fry finds himself a bit torn, and could for some reason choose Umbriel. It could be another sad ending in which Umbriel rejects Fry, leaving Leela bitter and Fry back at square one. It could end with one of those optomistic notes. Lots of plotholes there, but the writers are creative people.

Other storylines I would like to see: Another episode with Roberto, maybe joining the Robot Mafia and becoming a formidable threat to Bender. LaBarbara could become lonely due to her husband being an obvious workaholic, throwing the family into disarray. Kif (sarcastic Kif, not wimpy Kif) could finally tell Zapp off, and go AWOL, hiding out with Amy. And of course, more Anthology's of Interests (what if life was more like Star Wars?) and further adventures with the Nibblonians.

This show actually has the potential to remain better longer than the Simpsons. Consider what they have done within the restrictions of a single small town and four rather static characters. Now imagine what Futurama could do with an entire futuristic universe as and seven quirky characters.

All we have to do is try to get it back on...

One thing that for me very worked but wasn´t much used was travelling to other planets without "delivery reason" (Fry and the slurm factory, WIMBECIL,A bicyclops built for two, War is the H-word,Amazon women in the mood, Where no fan has gone before)so it would be good see it more. Also I would like to see more tragedy or sadness in the present of episodes (like in "The Sting).

Leela and Fry should DEFINATELY not get together that would be crap it would ruin the characters like it did with Chandler and Monica in friends. I would like to see more of Calculon and his *clears throar* GREAT ACTING ABILITY... also maybe some more character development with some kids from someone and Scruffy. I would also like to see more of Earth as i think that would be good. Maybe more of other countries other than America...do we even see another country in the whole 4 seasons?

yer i agree with you, especially if it were to actually become a relationship the good thing about that was the constant trying to win her heart but as long as its in the background and isnt continually mentioned that is good. Also i think having more of Frys past would be good. It helps to build his character and is effective because he can never go back in time. again.

Isn´t that little boring to still discuss Fry/Leela relationship over and over?
As for Fry - i don´t think there is something in his past what wasn´t allready covered by "Luck of the Fryish" and "Jurassic Bark", much more I think that leela´´s life is good to give some bigger "filler" in it.

there is loads of things they could still cover in the past. they could continue the story a bit further with Frys brother or maybe go into some detail of someone else that may have cared about him other than his dog. Also maybe the death of his parents etc. loads of potential. Also if they got together it would completely ruin it. the idea is that we see the dis-equilibrium of their relationship and never see them actually together. it would ruin the dynamics of the show.

I still think that it would become one "rehash episode" after other. And for their relationship- seiously If you really belive that it is so importent to the show, in that case just like Mouse on Venus said, it would become stale in both cases - as permanent relationship but also like neverending Fry´s attempts to win Leela without any success.

yea it would but i dont see why Fry couldnt move on but still have a thing for Leela behind it all. it would build tension between the characters then maybe Leela could get jealous and they get together and THEN it ends.

i think if there ever were new episodes, that they would end up doing one where they go back in time to when Fry existed and meet his past self and his parents. It's been done in numerous fanfics, but it'd be a cool and potentially VERY FUNNY story idea.

What about the Robo-Hungarian Empire in "The Honking," Paris in both that episode and "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles," Italy and China in "The Cryonic Woman," and Japan and the Galapogos Islands in "Crimes of the Hot"?  Not all countries, but all outside of (modern) America.

Which isn't to say that I'd mind seeing more of the future Earth.

yes but no built up areas of other countries like we do of New York it would be good to see what developing countries now are like in the future and surely Paris doesnt count...

and maybe michelle could come back as a more regular character. not permanant mind - she'd grate after awhile. but just to mess fry up a bit.

Thats just mean! Poor Fry. Well, maybe that would make Leela a little more jealous, which could work to Fry's advantage?!

I'd like to see flashbacks to Amy's past and show her birth, her childhood on Mars, how she grew to dislike her parents, how she raised Betsy, how she met Prof. Farnsworth (maybe she knew him long before he was her teacher and employer), etc.

I'd think it'd be funny if he saw Bender's life from the day he was built to the moment he first met Fry. He could see his father's death, his high school days with Fender and that whalerbot, his antics at Mars U, him breifly being in the army (see the Futurama comic where Fry becomes a freakshow attraction), and how he became a felon.

I think that an episode centered on Bender's history would be great. if they could make it something along the lines of "Luck of the Fryrish" in plot, it could be great.

How about this:
Fry and Leela go out in secret.
They would go out once a week when the don't have much plans.Like when Bender goes out to a party and Fry gets out of the apartmant to Leela's place.

We've pretty much already seen all of Bender's history.
