So if you've managed to get more anchovies please save them and mail them around early August.  That goes for all the people who are buying cans.  If you plan on sending them spoiled and are concerned that it will smell very bad before August, don't punch a open in them now, do it in late July and gave them time to spoil just enough to mail to FOX.  Or you could just punch a hole in it when you are about to mail them and let the shipping time that its course.  That is only if you want to send spoiled anchovies to FOX.

Oh...

I just bought more, and I can hold onto them for however long I should. I thought we were just sending them. I'm sorry, I don't have internet access at my house.

A really cheap place to buy anchovies (or anything)- Aldi. I got mine for 20 cents a can. There may not be one near where you live, though. (I think their are only two locations in all of Michigan.)  :)

EDIT: Make that 32...

Those labels look good.  I got my can a super Target myself, but I would think that most markets would have anchovies.  Does anyone have any idea how many people will participate?

Imagine if this works.. Are show will brought back and FOX headquarters will smell like fish. That just sounds so evil... but I don't care.   :evillaugh:

BTW... the labels look great!

I have a small suggestion for the labels. Perhaps we could add For Fry at the bottom after the word Anchovies. Just a suggestion.

That's stupid(no offence), just leave it how it is. If it's too wordy it doesn't look like a label.

I know I'm being uber irritating, but please listen to me! Props to the original label design but I'd really, REALLY like to hear some feedback on my variation.

Please take a look at the link in my last post.

@Kyle_M: I have to agree with KAH, thre would be too much text in it and also there would be 4 references to Futurama on a small pece of paper. (1. The Label itself, 2. the word futurama, 3. The PE-logo, 4. Your Fry text). Also doesn't "For Fry" really fit into an advertisement text like it is used on labels.

@Mallzie: May I be the only one to reply to your version ?

It looks good so far and the idea itself is very good, too. One porblem is that you have saved it as a jpg, and the artifacts make it looking stupid. Decrase the jpg-compression (blos up the filesize) or save it as a gif or png(if you need more colors) if possible.

@zoidyzoid: You won't believe it, but I thought about that when I made it. I came to the decission that I write it as the singular version because it is everyones afford to send cans in. But if you have the community feeling I will edit it.

ack! The fryhole is telling people to mail the unrevised version of the anchovie label to fox! http://thefryhole.alltoons.co.uk/save.php#anchovies

After the thought put into its design, should we care or not?

I move that we revise the design to put a picture of a longhaired black metal guy on there with red eyes and blood dripping from his mouth. Now that would be an angry Norweigan!

I've taken it upon myself to help with organizing the effort. I've started by uniting all the futurama revival groups out there. Have a look at the adult swim message board here (If you can, you may need to register first, I don't know)
 http://boards.adultswim.com/adultswim/board/message?board.id=5&message.id=102863&page=2

My name over there is Chesteroo. I've asked the fryhole to use the most recent label design in its AFF announcement. I plan on getting in touch with other major futurama communities as well. Also, we gotta reach communities indirectly related to futurama, friends in general, and pretty much everyone. I suggest getting people's emails and having an AFF newsletter. That'll keep everyone on the same page. An AFF section on every major Futurama website, like fryhole has, will also help. I hope that the brains behind AFF will read this soon! I also hoping that they will reconsider the address we send these anchovies to, There are three other possible targets:

Ms. Gail Berman
President
Building 100 Room 4450
10201 W. Pico Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90035

Mr. Sandy Grushow
Chairman
Building 100 Room 5110
10201 W. Pico Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90035

Mr. David Nevins
Executive Vice President, Programming
Fox Broadcasting Company
10201 W. Pico Blvd.
Bldg. 100, Room 4510
Los Angeles, CA 90035

I know that the owner of the first adress, Gail Bergaman, was wanting to revive The Family Guy, So maybe she would be open to more Futurama and therefore a good target? Perhaps we could have multiple targets? I'd like to see everyone's input on this.

EDIT: Oh, and it would be nice if AFF had its own website. That would make it easier to get people to a direct source. It could have banners for all the other sites that support it and stuff, and the other sites could have an AFF banner. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but if we split it up it'll be a breeze! Like I've already said, I'm willing to do public relations and recruiting stuff! After the adult swim board and other animation communities, I plan on hitting just about every entertainment realated community out there and winning them over.

I do not have my own website, but I will help in any way possible.

Maybe I'll find some major Simpsons sites and see if they have a Futurama section or see if they are willing to put something about this on their site.

Excellent! But an OFFICIAL AFF site would help centralize the effort, making it more organized. I'm sure some folks can whip up a snappy one with the label, can making instructions, FAQs, and whatnot. we have a month! ya see, if other futurma sites like the fryhole have all the 411 instead of a site made especially for AFF, then one change in our plan will mean EVERY one of those sites must update to synchronize our effort. To be all on the same page, we need our own webpage! no?

I mean, I could make the site, but it would be nothing more than an Angelfire site.

I think that an actual URL www.(sitename).com  would be better than an Angelfire site. I know someone that could do it, but he's away on a backpacking trip.

Hopefully someone else here will be able to.

heh, don't worry Gwan, I wasn't aiming that post at you! I just wanted to underline the importance of a site. I could make a crappy site too, but I think we should leave it to a pro. I'm sure we'll find someone. In the meantime, we can discuss mailing strategies.

I'm thinking we should mail it to Gail, since she sounds like she could be hip to our cause. At the same time, mailing fish isn't the nicest thing to do, and we don't want to alientate someone who is potentially hip. Murdoch and Gurshow are pricks though, so we could mail one of them fish and Gail could get respectful written letters! But on the other hand, a prick in power is the wrong person to piss off, because they can exact their prickish revenge. Perhaps we could mail the fish to Gail and emphasize that the animosity isn't personal? Then again, if we want it to be impersonal, we could send it to just plain FOX broadcasting like AFF originally intended. The question is, if we send the anchovies to that address will the message be able to reach those in power? Perhaps some advice from someone with experience in the matter coulod help.

Do you think that they had a Futurama Fan-Mail address? That may also be a good target, provided that they havn't stopped using it. But yes, those in power may not get the message. Then again, if hundreds of cans of anchovies just start showing up, they are bound to hear about it some how. I think sending them to Gail would be a good idea, though. I mean, it's not like we're trying to be mean, we are just trying to show them that we want the show back.

I notice that TFH says nothing about WHEN to send the anchovies. People may start sending them now. Perhaps we should tell them that we dont plan to send them until the first or second week of August.

Perhaps we should make a new topic announcing that we need an official website for this... or do you think that we should bring it up again later?
