Since this thread popped up again, let my just say that I would like to change my vote to #6. I finally caved, and must now pay the price (internet-bill).

Edit: TOTPD, my first in quite a while. Yay!

Fox messed up the 1st Season so much that I missed most of it.  (Eventually I bought some Video CDs that are actually licensed by Fox.)

They messed up the 2nd Season, too, but then my roommates got Tivo and that kept us from missing episodes.  So I got part of the 2nd Season and all of the 3rd Season from TV, thanks to Tivo.

My guilty pleasure is that I download episodes to watch them in French and German.

Cool, I was thinking about getting Tivo but I thought I may aswell wait for recordable DVDs to fall in price. Maybe I will get Tivo when there's more memory. :)

Well, I had a 56k connection for a year and I downloaded *all* Futurama episodes, most of them in MPEG, 220mb each. So I downloaded like 10gb with that crappy modem.

Wahaha, back after a while...with the new seaon and all.
From what i understand US doesn't charge phone bills for local calls so downloading all eps with 56k modem is not that insane, it's slow but when you queue everything up it 'll eventually work...
In my away time I've been here and there on the net and found the concept pre-air, prolly not a good idea to discuss that here, maybe i should be added to the poll   :D

But Luke is from Spain, and even if it is a free call, it'll still take forever and a day.  That's why I called him insane.

Well, i`m from Spain too, but i had a 33.6 modem (i`m very insane..) , and i downloaded all 3 seasons episodes... the hard part was find they.

I start to watch Futurama in the TV in july 2000 , then i begin to record them to VCR and download V.O episodes. In fact i had downloaded all episodes excepto 3ACV19 with my old 33.6 modem.   :D .
Also i have a collection of 13Cds with all episodes in V.O and all episodes aired in Spain, i don`t have a DVD player, so i don`t download the MPEG versions..

I would download stuff but it takes long enough to download some Misfits (We are the Fiend club,we are the fiend club not you, not you, not you ,we are the fiend club) which are pretty small music files. Well that's wha tyou get for totally free internet it's free but the connection sucks.

I did record them but Channel 4 screwed up Futurama and my tape is out of order with halves of episodes in the middle. Now i download them and i'm going 2 get the DVDs. I find it takes me the same time as Fat Bot. My cousin has all of them but i can't get a copy, his CDR Drive need repairing.

I make a point of watching ones I haven't seen before live and recording them for later. I missed most of Season 1 first time round but I'm going to get the DVD so except a few episodes from season 2 I should soon have the entire first 3 series covered

as the german version sucks badly (as jackass mentioned) i download every episode. in english of course. that way i can watch 'em all over again...
RAH!   :D

and with DSL it doesn't take that long. that's why i've downloaded nearly every episode already (i think of all seasons, 4 episodes are missing. *looks into morpheus* ...correction, 3   ;)). at the moment, i'm replacing my bad quality divx (only 60 - 80 mb) with the big mpegs.

I voted number 5, i used to watch them on Channel 4 but then they thought they'd stop showing them, plus when they did show them they were all cut up anyway and seeing as i'm not one of those lucky people with digital i can't watch it on TV no more, so now a download them, i've nearly got all of them now   :D

Surely it would have been easier and quicker to download .avi format instead of MPEG because they are so small, i do that and then convert them, much quicker

Since this topic has been raised again, I now watch them on TV (rarely), video (series 1), DVD (series 2) and on my computer (series 3/4)

I just realised they I never actually answered the question in the first place. I sometims watch them when they air on TV, but I've got most of them on tape anyway and I normally watch the tapes instead. But now I also have Season One and Two on DVD, and I watch them a lot too  :)And I'm 'attempting' to get 'Crimes of the Hot' at the moment  ;)

I, erm, "acquire" every ep coz my country doesn't even air Futurama. takes forever to acquire the eps and I'm on 512K connection.
Hmm, 60 more hours to complete "crimes of the hot".

I get it from a 750K dsl connection.

I also watch the season one repeats they 're showing on tv, just because nothing is better than tv-quality (except the dvd's, but I can't get them, I can't buy stuff online)

I recorded all of them, except a few I watched at someone elses house, on tape.  I never got an episode off the net (didn't have a computer until about a year ago).

#2.

I watch them live just to show Fox that, despite their best attempts at sabotage, I'm still here, dammit.  I tape them at the same time so I can watch them over.  And over.  And over.  And over.

My hope is that the Region 1 DVD's come out before I wear all my tapes out.

Ah the good ol' days when FOX Sundays kicked off with Futurama...then suffer through King of the Hill, then Simpsons, Malcolm and finally X-Files....I miss those days, but even then Futurama was so off and on that I missed a lot of episodes...which in turn FORCED me to "steal" them from the internet (Ya hear that Rupert? I TRIED to play fair!)
Now I work a 48 hour week on Sat and Sun, so I call all my friends and tell them to watch, and when I get home Monday, I start searching and downloading. Takes a week, sometimes more....it kinda sucks but I'm still eternally grateful to the folks who rip these episodes and put them out there, otherwise, I wouldn't see them at all.
When are we gonna see some DVDs in America? Can you get English versions in Germany?

Thw German set is in German dubbing, with English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Spanish (I think) subtitles. You're better of getting the English version at Amazon.co.uk

You can use the link on the frontpage, and support PEEL.

Fortunately I get a West Coast Fox affiliate.  Hot off the nebula and no Football delays.  I dump 'em on to VHS for "archiving".  I lost my ENTIRE SEASON 4 TAPE recently.  I lent it out (the last time that will happen) and it got destroyed     I'm kicking (read killing) myself... I hope they will re-run Roswell That Ends Well soon!!!  If I never get any more season 4 eps, my fault.  So long as I get Roswell.  That one is a classic.
