It has been spoken that David X. Cohen has been lobbying for a full length Futurama movie, which in terms of budget, would be cheaper than a season of Futurama, making it more plausible to the higher ups to green light.

(Clarify, by another season, I am speaking of 22 episodes)

I admit, it's a very tough choice.

I think the compelling factor would be seeing Futurama on the big huge IMAX screen, 20 stories tall. Of course, if you dont live in California/Los Angeles, I dont know if you have access to the cool IMAX theaters, but even a regular movie screen would be super cool.

Of course a matter of many plots would be better than one big one! They have so many ideas that they want to put in before their reign is over. I don't think they could squezze all of that into one feature film. I woul like to see so many things done with Futurama. The fact that they can change the story each time they make an episode is one thing that makes it great. A Futurama film would be great and something ton look forward to, but I think we true fans just want back what was taken from us and if we happen to recieve a movie as well, then that's fine too.

and uh..... try not to double post.

I'd say another season. A Futurama movie would kick ass, but I'd take another 22 episodes over a movie of any show any day. ...except the Simpsons.

another season. that would be a lot longer than the futurama movie, and plus, we know that we'd get a few classics with the new season, but we never know if the plot of the movie would be good or not.

...this message board may or may not be what I thought it was. I was hoping to join other fans and talk about the show, not listen to others try to tell me what I can or can't type. If you look at the times, they are 15 minutes apart, not a double post. I simply stated a question, then answered it myself. If this is such a problem that it distracts you from my original post I suggest not entering any topics I personally have made. You wont be missed.

Thank you,

Definately another season of Futurama. Especially if the season length is >/= that of previous seasons.

I agree. Another season could include MUCH more stuff than just one movie. But if a movie was made by FOX, i'm sure we'd all go see it.

Get off your high horse.  There was no need for you to double post.  You could've included your answer in your original post.  Or you could use the button.  And before you accuse me of being a jerk, I can assure you that if a mod was here they'd tell you the same thing.

And Lampy's right, those last four options are stupid.

It's over two years since the show was originally put on hiatus, and eight months since the final episode aired.  I think it's safe to say their reign is already over.

Ideally I'd like a new series, but I'd take a movie as long as it gave us a better ending than "The Devil's Hands..."

Dude, calm down.  Most people make the mistakes you make when they first join, we tell them the rules and (hopefully) they abide by them or generally aren't particularly liked by the "community".
By the way have you read the PEEL faq?  You probably should.

Movie for me because:
1. When it comes out its cheaper than the seasons.
2. If enough people visit the movie of it, it would STILL have a chance of coming back from THOSE ratings and money raisers.

his is the tough choice.
Fturama could have had more is it wasn't for a bad time slot,a bad reputaion from FOX.

Yeah but if the new season got a decent time slot and advertising, there would be a decent chance of a movie coming out.  To be honest it is probable that if one happens and is any way succesful, the other will follow.

If a new season were successful, I'd have thought it'd be more likely to lead to another new season, rather than a movie.

I am very much open to rules and such, I am new to this community, yet I dont appreciate the tone some take when trying to enforce these rules. There is no need to criticize me, ie-Stupid poll opinions or having a harsh tone.

Thanks for trying to teach me the rules, I am not new to message boards, so one double post doesnt strike me as critical.

If I offended anyone religious, cuturally, or politically with my double post, I am truly sorry  :)

Can we please end this discussion on me and my in your face interface and get back to the original topic? Thanks.

Let's see, one roughly two hour session or roughly 11 hours spread out over several months.  When you look at it, the new season is the clear choice.

YOUR tone leaves a lot to be desired.  Comments like "this message board may or may not be what I thought it was." sound pretentious and aren't going to win you any friends.

One season of 22 episodes = 484 minutes and 22 stories

movie = 90 minutes and 1 story

Hmmm... A new season.

There is no way an animated comedy movie would be longer than 90 minutes. Plus, one of the major advantages of a movie for an animated TV show is that the animation is better. However, Futurama's animation is top notch already. Also, there would be a lot more time to a season. With a new season, there's a chance that it would be made into a movie anyway.

Well then put up or shut up you fucker. Sometimes it takes this kind of harsh tone to get it through the thick heads of new people like you. Which you certainly have.
