Futurama Referances

I just watched the Simpsons ep. "My Big Fat Geek Wedding" and they had Matt Groening signing a Bender doll! Doesn't that violate the "Futurama is real, Simpsons is not" rule?!

But since the Simpsons is not real, Futurama can be fake inside the Simpsons world.

B-but...I distinctly remember Matt promising he wouldn't do stuff like that! I mean, when Bender was in Bart's illusion in the ep. where he and Lisa were in the same class, that kinda thing was OK, but they actually said "Look, the guy who made Futurama" and that's...not...RIGHT! I feel so betrayed...y'know? Well, insulted more. I guess Futurama's just not important enough for more that a 30-second cameo, though it kinda feels like we're, I dunno...begging or something...(I will be ranting and raving for awhile now...)
