It would appear good old Slashdot has somehow got the idea that Futurama is "making a comeback". Although the Wired article was dismissed on here some time ago, it does mean a surge in publicity (and presumably traffic  :) )

If only they had mentioned the petition in the same breath, it might have been something. It is interesting how much stir that Wired article has caused, considering it is the only place that a possible comeback has been reported...
