I'd like to see something more practical. Like an automatic pronunciation checker.

I'd like to start off by saying this is the very first time I've posted here.  And what an honour it is too  :D

But anyway, out of the ones I've seen (I'm in England with no sky or cable or digital, poor me) the Smelloscope seems to be one of the few reliable ones.  Although I'm not sure if I'd like to use it, god only knows what people leave on the things when they stick them up their nostrils... *shudders*

What if machine must be one of the best ones! "you've watched! You cant un-watch it! Tales of INTEREST!"

Another great invention is that machine that makes the glow-in-the-dark noses. Big and pointless, sure, but really funny.

My favorite inventions from the Professor are the basketball playing supermen, Universe boxes, and the What-If Machine.

I would like to see him invent something that makes skinny people look fat, and some waverunners that can float in the water.

Love the What-If machine; that would give cable or satellite TV a run for its money, wouldn't it? I also love the entertaining "Anthology" stories.

Nixorbo is right about the PE ship being great - other side of the universe and back in one week is hard to top, but the best has got to be the "universe in a box" trick. Lots of scientists have devised ideas or things that seem god-like, but that puts you right up there with God.

Now what I'd like to see Farsworth invent is something that could pluck me out of this universe and put me into his. That way, questions like "Would you rather date Amy or Leela" don't necessarily have to be hyothetical.

PS: Kurt, you have to explain this novel concept of a floating waverunner.

What about a virtual bong, a machine that using electrical impulses or waves directed at the brain could induce any kind of altered state of consciousness, without the hazards of smoking, swallowing or injecting mind altering substances. Moreover the effect could be started or stopped at will, allowing you to get on with other shit, so you could be a stoner without being a complete waster!

The professor's best invention was the box that contained a universe that contained our universe in a box.  What I'd like to see him invent is an explanation of how exactly that one worked.

I would have to agree that the finglonger and the what if machine are great and are two of my favorites, the third being the f-ray.  It would be good to see in real life the atomic super men basketball players vs the globe trotters, what an event.

he could make it, anything is possible if you believe!!  and then he could build a race of atomic supermen to pit against such a machine.  They would of course have laser cannons grafted to their chests to hurt their enemies.
