Look you clowns. Its been Years since it went out of production. The Cast and crew have gone their seperate ways. Some have even died  ;)

They cant just drop everything and come back. Fox knows this, so they wont consider a petition even if it had a million Signatures.

Cant you let a good thing go?

Maybe nobody told you, but Family Guy's been out of production for at least two years, but most or all of the cast want to return, and I'm sure they'll find some writers and animators somewhere.

@mArc, your response to this petition has been contemptable.  There's nothing wrong with a pessimistic outlook, but if you think this petition will send out the wrong message to FOX, what will they make of a major figure in the online community turing round and telling everyone that All Hope Is Lost So There's Really No Point Trying?

how many signatures did the original petition have

130,000.  In that respect, mArc et al have a point, this petition's seriously unlikely to reach that number.

The only real problem I see with having this petition now, regardless of whether it hits 130,000 or not is that FOX would most likely turn right around & say that "just because Family Guy is comming back doesn't mean that Futurama will, even if you give us a petition, letters, etc".  Either way, a little hope never hurts.

I think the main problem lies in the fact that any one person could make up phoney names and sign an online petition as many times as he/she wants. It detracts from their credibility. It's all right here in this pamphlet.

someone should make a random name generaor, that constantly creates names 24/7, even though it would would be phony, and fox would think that, but it would still make an impact if it got SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO high

Yes there are always gonna be fools who sign repeatedly.

What are the laws regarding that for official petitions? Are the names just taken off or what?

Just because something's hopeless doesn't mean you should give up hope.  You have to hope even higher and cover your ears and go La La La La La!

I would like to say this should get somewhere, but although everyone seemed very optimistic in the beginning, including me, taking into consideration the fact that it has 700 or so signatures, I don't think it's getting anywhere.
Still, it's worth a try.
I've tried to get all my mates to sign it, but I think only one of them actually has!

Just remember QueenOfRobonia, its better than nothing. good job getting all your friends to sign also. And i dont think it is dead yet, the petition  could get many more sigs. So continue spreading the word.

If we could send several well thought out letters to Matt Groening, maybe he would read one of them and mention the petition when he's on CN in May.

Letters to Matt Groening won't work.  They don't read them.  They just send back FAQ sheets.  They probably get hundreds of letters every day, so doing that wouldn't work.
