Let's decide this important question once and for all: When should WE celebrate Robanukah?!?
And what traditions should we have?

I think it's more fitting for a meet to take place on Robanukah than Robanukah taking place during PEEL meets...

So far, we have the following suggestions: smile

The party should contain:
Robot decorations, robot dancing, clezmer music, drinking contest, chair dance?
(and it would be cool to have posters of "it came from planet earth" and "Buff-bot the human slayer" to decorate with...)

Food and drink:
Beer, martini, cake, lugnuts (maybe doughnuts will be close enough?)

Clothing:
Dress up like a robot, "moonwalk boots", or dress up lika a futurama character?

I think we're a little low on foodstuff. Maybe a neptunian slug can be copied with jello? A "family bros" pizza should not be hard to get. And is there anything close enough to slurm soda or moms old fashioned robot oil that can be used?

I've found a drink with several ingredients that have been known to cause Congestive heart failure, Diabetes, High blood pressure...
It's also said to be sickly sweet.  smile

August the tenth because it turns that once crummy date into a day of alcohol and nudity which is the same as everyday at the swanmans residence.

What's the soda? Anyways, where would a PEEL meet even be?! Second, we would just have to get drunk, and gorge ourselves on lugnuts (doughnuts) by ourselves. But I'm up for Robonakuh! ( "Why weren't you at school last week ?!" "Religeous holiday." "What!?!?" "You know, Robanakuh!" )

Celebrate Robonunkah the day the first episode aired.  It's coming up relatively soon, so we'll all remember it.  You generally celebrate when something is created/born, not when it died.

OR instead of Robanukah, we could celebrate Futurama by getting slammed on tequila every weekend.

Yeah, but I'm sure a lot of us do that already, religion or not.

How about we celebrate all three robot holidays? Robonza, the drinking contest, can be on March 28. Robomadon can be on April 20, and Robonuka can be on August 10th.

I like the idea of Robaanza (yes that's the correct spelling), but the other two sound kind of sucky.

I think the one Robonukah thread is plenty, thanks.
