Although I saw a couple of episodes beforehand, I wasn't really hooked into Futurama until the Xmas Story.
I thought the evil santa was an interesting twist.
I felt for Fry and Leela when they had their sad moments.
Twas the first time I laughed at Bender jokes.
Fry captured my heart by being self sacrificial.
And I felt the first shippy moment and was extremely frustrated at the nearly kiss.
...
Just in case you want to know what episodes I'd seen before that didn't really attract me: Love Labour's Lost in Space and The Problem with Popplers.  :nono:

I think that I have watched the entire series about 20 times through on my DVDs. My eyes hurt.

One night in April or March (forgot...) I had insomnia and was flipping through the channels,  trying to find something to watch. I came across Futurama and decided to watch it because it qwas made by Matt Groening (I grew up watching The Simpsons). That was my first full episode, and I've been hooked ever since. The name of the episode escapes me but it was in season 2 and I saw it again on AS recently... It didn't seem nearly as good this time around for some reason. XD

As if anyone would care:
Episode 2 at the very first airing on German TV (Pro7). IIRC Futurama was on on Mondays at about 2045 or 2100...
I've taped about something like Seasons 1 and 2 (I must still have the tapes somewhere. In the basement. Under a huge pile of other junk...) Somehow I've lot it out of focus until some guy on the Usenet reminded me of that series this spring. Then I got the DVDs and that's it...

I saw "Where No Fan Has Gone Before", being a big Star Trek fan, and I decided to buy the Season 4 box set. I loved the rest of the episodes on that box set, so I bought the other 3 too.

Even though I've seen the show since day one, there were a few episodes I missed during the initial run, that I later caught on adult swim, of these my favorite would probably "War is the H Word," now that I have all 4 seasons on DVD, I can watch whenever I feel like it

I maanged to catch the suicide booth scene from the very first episode when it was first aired. I hadn't heard anything of Futurama or even know what it was but that scene in the booth had me laughing so much I couldn't breathe. The show then went out of my head for a while and I didn't think anything more about it until I caught a bit of "Parasite's Lost" some years later and I then became hooked and ordered all 4 seasons.
