My first post, so I'm hoping that this is in the right section for this. So I've just become a futurama fan in the last couple of months. And when I get into any show, I like to spread the word about it as much as possible. I'm not really doing this a some kind of campaign to get more episodes, although that would be nice...if very unlikely. I'm just doing it because I think the show is great and more people need to see it. So I wanted to start up a thread here where people could post ways to spread the love of Futurama at their school, workplace ect..... So I'm on a college campus, and the one thing you always see on a college campus is posters. So, seeing as this is an election year in the US, I whipped (using my very weak Photoshop skills) up a few faux political posters for various futurama characters. http://home.cwru.edu/~ixh10/Fry-Poster.gif http://home.cwru.edu/~ixh10/Leela-Poster.gif http://home.cwru.edu/~ixh10/Amy-Poster.gif http://home.cwru.edu/~ixh10/Bender-Poster.gif http://home.cwru.edu/~ixh10/Prof-Poster.gif Yeah, they are pretty basic, but I wanted them to look good printed in B&W on the campus laser printers. So between the posters and running DVD Marathons on Fridays, I'm hoping to get as much of our campus as possible watching Futurama. Anyone else have some good ideas or promo materials for spreading the word about Futurama? BTW: Hope I didn't offend anyone by poking fun at some political figures. Just me trying to be funny.

It'll be hilarious if those are mistaken for real and they wind up on the ballot next school election. Yes I know it'd be hard for that to happen, but it's what popped into my head.

Originally posted by Venus: When i worked at Toys-r-us i would go over to the animal planet section and get one of the long rubber snakes, wrap it around myself and wear it for the whole shift. It was an orange snake and whenever anyone said anything i would tell them that it's name was Fry and when they would inevitably ask why i had named it that i would tell them about Futurama. "Did that guy just say rings are cool....?" "Nope, he said they're not cool...." "COOL....!"

Those are hillarious. And the scary thing is, some of them are better candidates than most of the real ones we currently have.

Those are great posters. I find that the only way I can get someone to like the show or take an interest in it is by showing them an episode. But not just any episode, it has to be something that I know the person would enjoy. For example, if a friend of mine enjoyed crude humor, I'd probably show him "Spanish Fry", or an episode with many dirty jokes (although I did enjoy the episode). But, if I had a friend who was a sucker for romance or unrequited love or something, I'd show them "Time Keeps on Slippin'" or an episode with alot of shippiness.

Great posters! I have a Bender Model on my PC at work so comments are either: 'Hey Bender! Furutama's really funny' or 'Who's that robot meant to be?' I then launch in to pitch Futurama mode.
