My family has revised thier opinions. My dad likes the show, he thinks it's okay. My mom hates it as much as humanly possible. My sisters watch it and like it, but they're not supposed to because my mom thinks it's pioson. So, they'll watch about 15 minutes of it, laugh at parts, thenremember that they're not supposed to watch it. Since they know I get in trouble when I watch it in the living room, they yell to my mom, and I get yelled at for exposing them to innappropriate garbage.

My wife can not comprehend how I like the show so much. But, she felt the same way about Family Guy until she actually gave it a chance (by force, jk.) She wouldn't pop the DVD in or anything but she laughs if it is on now.

Futurama is more of a long-shot though. She thinks of it only as a "cartoon".

My boss is a huge Futurama fan! I am the only employee who has been able to tell him to "bite my shiny metal ass" and get away with it.

The majoirty of my family hates the show. Although that might be because I watch it alot or the fact that they don't really like Matt Groening stuff in general. Only my brother like it but he only likes it enought to watch it every once in a while. most of my friends in NNYS have never even seen the show but all of my friends in Ca love the show almost as much as I do. I need to get more of my friends out here to watch it and learn to love it but how....
Ohh crap I didn't realize this was 3 years old. Sorry for the Bump.

Oh, what the heck, I'll jump into a three year old thread too.

The old lady doesn't care for it, unless I'm misinterpreting her meaning when she says "Ugh! You're watching THAT again?"

The boy loves it although he's not quite old enough to understand some of the more mature themed scenes.

my sister was the one who introduced me to the simpsons when i was about 5 (heh) and then futurama when i was around 11. we both love it, although i probably more than her now, but i've gotten her into it once again.

as for my parents, my dad might think it was funny if he stayed up late enough to watch it, and i tried to show my mom the M*A*S*H parody episode since she used to watch it, but i dont think she liked it much. she remarked about the 'strange looking creatures' on the show.

my friends think it's pretty funny, but i dont think their liking it goes hand in hand with my obsession with it

Just about every one in my family loves it, except my mom. My brothers like it as much as I do, sense we work together were constantly quoting it and joking around. I showed my 8 year old cousin a episode and she loved it, the whole weekend all she did was watch my Futurama DVDs.

Everyone in my family apart from my grandma hates it though my sister claims that it's rubbish, but when I watch it she watches it with me, same with Star Wars (I wonder if I could get her into Star Trek...)

My dad loves it.  In fact, he was the one who introduced me to it.  My mo, however, hates it.  The only episode she saw was "How Hermes Requisitioned his Groove Back" and she started watching during one of Morgan Proctor's "dirty boy" scenes.

My family like shows of the genre "World's blankiest bank". They're part ofwhat is wrong with the world.

I would never date a woman who could not relate to my choice of television. That somewhat narrows the field for me.

Note that I said I'd never date sucha  woman. I never said that I wouldn't sleep with her, and then leave early in the morning.  tongue

My father is actually quite fond of the series, but he's got a good sense of humor if nothing else.

My mother I intentionally haven't introduced it to.  She jumps to too many conclusions on various things, and freaks out at the word "heck" for cripes' sake.

My grandparents would probably like it if I showed it to them XD  They're very weird.

OMG! That's the saddest thing i've ever heard! Well, in this family it's only me and my brother who like it, but he doesn't take much interest anymore. A lot of my friends watch it too.
