I bought Season Three DVDs just after Xmas, and since then I've not been able to watch them as the harddrive in my laptop has died, and needs replacing (hopefully this week).

Do you know HOW HARD it is to sit and look at the DVD boxes, knowing I can't watch them at the moment.  DOES ANYONE UNDERSTAND MY PAIN?

Hello I am new by the way.

Poor poor girl.  :nono:

Why don't you buy a cheap DVD player?

I was going to, but I have to pay for the new hard drive first and foremost! Which is a pain the arse.

I understand your pain.  The power out that knocked out most of the Eastern states last summer (Including where I was) happened the day after I bought my Futurama season 2 DVDs.

Also, my DVD player broke down after my birthday (Dec. 14) 2002 and we didn't get it back untilmid-January 2003, so I missed watching the LotR:tFotR extended edition DVDs, Minority Report, The Rock, MST3K, and all the other DVDs I got for my birthday and Xmas.  So I feel your pain, but beg you not to became as unbearable to be around as I did.

This conversation might be better suited to The Hate Thread, though.

Welcome to PEEL.  Enjoy your stay.     :)

I hadn't notived that existed yet, I will bear it in mind.  I hate a lot of things at the moment.  I like a lot of things at the moment too though so it balances out somewhat.

Hey there and welcome to PEEL (why do all the new usernames include cats in one way or another).

And I do feel that pain. In my old pc, my crappy DVD drive crapped out on me. And now I feel it again, although this one is not Futurama related. I am awaiting a VERY rare Mew single from UK (it only cost me 20 quid) which i really yearn for...

I always got confused about Mew, because the guitarist that replaced Donna in Elastica was called Mew, and I thought it was Mew gone solo.
Anyway.

So you know Mew?! YAY!!! They're from DK, you know. My favourite band in the whole world since 1997 (along with a few others) I have bought quite a lot of singles and I've even bought a ltd. X-mas ed. of Frengers from Japan. And I don't expect any of the guys from Mew to go solo.

Ahhh I have lost track of the current indie scene, at least the last two years or so of it.  But I was quite 'up' on all the bands in my hey-dey!

i only got into futurama after xmas and i ordered season 2 from bestbuy.com 2 weeks ago.  the damn lazy us postal service is too retarded to deliver it even though bestbuy said they sent it 2 days after i ordered it.  its not very hard to deliver i live in highly populated south florida not on top of a mountain or something! to any mailmen out there, bring it now!

i just realized this was totally irrelevant
