OK. I've noticed that at the end of some, if not most, episodes there is a staff writer credited as Mirsky. I have no clue as to who this person is. I have found no references on IMDb or anything, and I was just wondering. Thanks in advance to all who help.

Welcome to PEEL, Platypus222!

What were you wondering? If there really is a writer named Mirsky?

*EDIT*
I just saw an episode with Mirsky credited and it just said "Staff Writer".
That probably wasn't much help.  :hmpf:

One of the cometries on season 4 explains this. He has a full name (though I can't remeber it of hand) but when he joined the writers guild (or whatever) he registered as just Mirsky (a bit like David X Cohen).

It puzzled me for a while as well

I think they are part of the commitee writing process and the refinement of scripts, but don't provide entire scripts. Of course, I could be completely wrong.

You're not completely wrong, Ranadok. The person who is credited as the writer of the episode writes the first draft of the script. Then I assume the staff writers have more to do with the rewriting process.

Well I did a little online snooping and all I really found out about David Mirsky is that he is(or at least was)a part of the Simpsons' staff.

I like the fact that(like SixByNine said)he was just registered as Mirsky.

Yeah, 'coz that makes him more memorable than writers with a conventional name, like...Eric Rogers.
