I just hope the East coast will keep its futurama on wednesdays rather than loosing it to Boomtown coz of a double BlueHeelers, both of which are very boring TV.

HI Ben - thanks for your email.

To explain the situation a little better when Futurama aired at 7.30pm on
Friday nights it performed very badly and was comprehensively beaten by The
Simpsons on Channel Ten.

The 10.30pm timeslot is the best place it has performed to date, but that
unfortunately is still not ideal.

Removing the lifestyle programs is out of the question as they attract up to
five times more viewers than Futurama.  You can understand we would upset a
lot more people by taking off a lifestyle program.

Futurama has been supported by commercials and program back announcements as
well as receiving regular reviews in The West and The Sunday Times.  For the
start of series I had very good reviews in both papers announcing the series
return.

Your comments have been noted and the program will return sometime in the
future.

Warm regards

I think maybe also, that since it hasnt been renewed, if they tried to promote it and ran out of episodes they'd be in a bit of a predicament wouldnt they?

If it doesnt come back on Next Wednesday, I'll give em a piece of my mind.

I've been watching the enterprise since it came back, the first week that futurama started on the wednesday, been recording them on my tuner card, actually Wednesday nights has become my late night tv night-

10:30 Futurama
11:00 King of the Hill
11:30 Enterprise

Every week takes another 800mb out of my HDD, but its worth it

Well apparently C7 has cancelled "the chat room" so there is now a free hour on mondays between 9:30 and 10:30. So if we're lucky they might put Futurama in that spot.

Wow, Thats suprising. Its competition was the Denton Show and that was REally dull. Then again ABC doesnt really need to worry about ratings. Poor Berner, He just cant catch a break.
I asked the guy at the JB DVD shop. He said Season 2 DVD's are coming in a few months.

There was something in The Australian newspaper (media section) today about 7 cutting The Chat Room.

There is one good thing to be said about 7perth...they are really answering the questions and concerns of viewers unlike every other TV network!

Is it suppose to be funny?
If it is not intended to be funny then its okay, I have always thought of it as a attempt to be funny.

I emailed 7 perth about putting re-runs of futurama on after midnight, for us night owls, which now thinking about it, doesnt do me much good cos ive got the dvd sets, but here is their speedy reply. Also it shows but 7 have no clue with futurama.

Hi Steve

I've forwarded your email to our Program Director for consideration.

We don't have too many episodes to re-run - I think we're only half way through the second series as it is.

Either way Futurama will return in the future so keep an eye out and your video machine handy.

Warm regards

WTF are Seven doing??? Isn't 24 one of their highest rating shows? I swear if Futurama isn't on the next Wednesday, I'm gonna have same compalining to do. Does anyone know their Sydney email?

I hate the damn Lifestyle shows! Not only do they get their own air time, they also get specials upon specials of utter crap. House Calls to the rescue 3, Homes and Gardens winter special 12, Auction squad mega homes special 76, I mean give it up. Channel 7 should be called Lifestyle channel.
