I tried downloading Page 1: Part 2, and it wouldn't unzip and said it didn't appear to be a valid file.  NOOO! And I was so close to downloading those.

I just wanted to mention that song 7 isn't hosted (by my knowledge.  Or have you not gotten it on yet?)  I'm forming a CD of the songs, and I was able to get 25 of the songs on.  I just wanted to let everyone who wanted to make a CD of the downloads how many you probably get on.  Maybe there's more tracks that refused to get on the CD.

Sorry about any problems with the downloading.  I think its just a problem with geocities.  I went and tried downloading between classes and it seemed to work.  It may be a problem with Win XP, I zipped, uploaded, and redownloaded with it.  I also made an audio cd and they all fit.  If anyone was able to get all the files, please host them.  I'm also considering selling the cd when I finish the cover art for about $5 plus shipping.

Alright, so I'm about 4 months late, but this seems to be the only place I can find to get Leela: Orphan of the Stars, so PLEEEEASE!! It's not working, only the first 2 zips did, which for some reason only had like 6 files... considering its supposed to be much bigger and 5 zips long it doesn't make any sense, but beyond that the zips aren't even working! So if you still have them could you email me about them or post something or something?  Hate to revive the dead (post) but hey, some things are worth it right?

I, personally, made my own compilation of some of the songs from the show, to where it would be, pretty much, a "Best Of Futurama" style cd, made to fit on a single cd.

It was pretty easy to find most of the commercial songs.  Thank god for Napster, because I hate when people tell me to steal songs.  Hehe, I enjoy paying for them, personally, as support for the artists.  As for the songs from Futurama, thanks to a pretty good combination of programs, and a Soundblaster Audigy 2, I was able to do perfect rips of them from the DVDs.

Talaxian's is supposed to be original music from the show.  That one is a list of 3rd party music used one the show, usually not in it's complete or original form.  RCS's is some kind of mix of the two.

60MB of hardrive space? No!!! I'd downwload it in a flash, but my computer doesn't have enough memory. (I think. If it has 80MB, will something get screwed up with my computer?)
Is it possible for anyone who has the songs to somehow get it on an internet site (I'm sure many of you would know how), which would enable me to buy it? I'd be willing to shell out some money.

As it's downloaded it's stored to a temporary file on your hard drive so as long as you've got at least 60mb free you'll be fine.

Exchanging money is not a good idea. It's already illegal to publically share copyrighted material like this, doing it for money especially so.

Usenet would probably be the best bet due to it's unlimited capacity plus it's fast and reliable but if you've never used it before it's going to take some time to familiarise yourself. Most ISP's have free access.

One last question. If I download the files, will I immediately be able to play them on Windows Media Player? Do I have to have WinZip? I tried downloading some stuff from The Leela Zone, and when it finished, it said something like, "Do I want to download a free preview of something" Basically, I couldn't use the download.
I'm asking, beause I don't want to waste hours downloading the songs, and find out I can't use them.

Assuming that they're mp3's then yes they will play in Windows Media Player although personally I prefer Winamp.

If they're in .zip file format and you have XP then then you don't need Winzip as XP uses ZIP as it's standard file file compression format. If you're using something other XP then you will need Winzip.

Edit: The audio clips from TLZ are all in MP3 format as are the ones from CGEF. Just download and play.

The ones on Geocities contain several WMA tracks in a single Zip file so you'll have to extract them first.

Yes.

If you're downloading from Geocities you'll only be able to download one file at a time as the server has severely restricted bandwidth - come back in an hour! Thats typical of free sites and Geocities in particular - it sucks big time.

I once had a friend who had her entire website on GC and it was hacked and she lost the lot. Their security is crap.

This thread is over 5 years old. I think you'd find the soundtrack in another way. There is no way to legally buy it, so... Yeah, I don't really know.
