it was good, the gender bender thing was the best joke in the episode.

Typical 2ACV episode.  Bland story, good humor.  The animation is really good though.

I liked the Animation, and Leela's side of the story... but as always Bender keeps crahing into tree's while flying solo.
I've found that Bender is rarely funny when he's on his own, only when he's got time to mess up for the others is when he's hillarious.
This episode was no exception. I had a few laughs, and as i said the feud between Leela and her old teacher and the overall animation and work on the show is what made this episode watchable.

This is ofcourse just my opinion, i could be wrong.

I kind of agree with your theory that Bender can't hold down an episode by himself. Episodes like this one are funny, but I think that part of it is due to Leela and her conflict with her old karate master (funny design by the way).
But Bender did a good job flying solo in "Godfellas" and "Bendin' in the Wind". But if you notice, even in those episodes he had other characters helping him (the society of worshippers in "Godfellas" and Beck, and the Planet Express Crew in "Bendin' in the Wind" ).
If Bender is the focus of a subplot (the story of him and the Countess DeLaRoca in "A Flight to Remember" or his dream of becoming a Globetrotter in "Time Keeps on Slippin'" ), he does a good job of keeping that under control.

It's a good episode, but not one we watch over and over! I like how they slipped the "axe hole" line in, what a groaner, and "I'm a toughy!"

I agree! I thought it was funny when Leela said she'd teach Bender how to fight like a girl and he said - "I'll put on my tootoo." This episode was not the best ever though, I’d say it was about 6 on a scale of 1 to 10.

PS- Sorry if I’ve miss-spelt tootoo, I wasn’t sure how to spell it.

the best joke in the episode is when they're talking in the movie theater and the robots from Mystery Science Theater 3000 tell them to shut up.

I dunno if any of you know that show, but the entire premise of it is these 2 robots and a guy making fun of old crappy movies.

I really liked this episode, especially Phnog telling Leela about  the will of the warrior etc.

The episode is great. I love the "see you at the fight" line. Plus "You have pressed two. I'm almost positive that you did."

Ha Ha, just caught this episode on Cartoon network.  The best part was catching Crow and Tom Servo in the movie theater.  Too funny.....

I love the brain slug stuff in this episode.

Fry: "Go Bender!"
Hermes: "Here, I got you an official Bender hat."
Fry: "Aw thanks Hermes, I... Hey! Cut that out!"(Or something)

I was recently reborn into Futurama(Praise Bender!),and saw the first 3 seasons within the last two weeks. I am so ashamed but I must admit I completely missed the MST3K crew altogether, and that is one of my favorite shows. See, you all know those little jokes they tossed in better then me. Well, I really like this one, especially the Brain Slugs,I would give it a 7 out of ten myself.

When do they put a new Classic Episode on the PEEL Homepage?

By the way, I thought the line about Fry's brain slug was awesomely funny.

(Sorry if I mess up the quote)
Amy- Fry what happened to you brain slug?
Fry- (Shrugs)
Professor picks up the flatened brain slug up off the floor and strokes it
Professor- Poor little guy, never stood a chance.

the episode has something for both the mature audience and something for the people who laugh at "milk comeing out your nose".  thats a metaphor not to offend anyone cause im for both types of humor.

Never.  It's either some kind of running joke or they're wating for new episodes...though in theory they could just put another "classic" one up, couldn't they?

I'm not against any humor.  I like Married with Children and Frasier.  And when Milhouse shot milk out of his nose in "Lisa's Sax", I nearly busted a gut.

This thread is somewhat of an enigma. It's a really mediocre episode, and yet this is the only episode-based thread to still be posted in.

But unfortunetly z0idberg, there ain't anymore new episodes so what we have is what we're gonna discuss.

It's because the "Raging Bender" picture is still on the homepage. Wasn't mArc going to change that at one point?
