I was looking thorugh the updated voice actor section and came across an interview
with john di maggio. and at the end of the interview he says this
"What’s funny is, the last line I recorded for the show was "Run away!!!" Literally. "Run away!" Afterwards, Matt called me aside and said, "I want to tell you, I want to work with you again". And I was like, "Well, I wanna work with you again. Who’s got the upper hand here? Whose ass do I have to kiss to work with you again?" But he’s got some other stuff in the works, and I’ll be probably working with Matt (hopefully) in the future."

sorry if this was mentioned before but it seems quite exciting to me

David said there is hope for a movie...

But now I know more of Matt's and David's work, I think we can expect more great projects of them in the future, at least, that's what I'm hoping for.

I dont know if anyone agrees with me but i think that unless the futurama movie was done *just* right, it would tear up all the good work that futurama had put in over the years.

Although im sure Matt and David could pull it off.

Still.....

Of course it would have to be done right, and nobody knows if there can be a movie-long story worthy of Futurama, but I guess it can be done. Hell, I'd love to hear the audio commentaries.  :D

I would like to see a new series as much as everyone else here does.  The thing that worries me, though, is that Fox will treat it badly and cancel it, as they did to Futurama.

I'd prefer more Futurama to a new series. Except it was a very, very, very, very, very, very good series.  :)

well you dont know until you actually see whatever it is thats planned, if it comes out.
its intresting you all assume david cohen will work with him, it might not be the case.
and actually i think i read somewhere about david planning a movie with ken keeler.
so maybe (and i'm being incredibly optmistic here)
david will focus a lot more on the futurama movies, while matt works on his new series

Oh yeah, I really hope David and Ken do a Futurama movie. After all, Matt only had some basic ideas, didn't he? And DXC mustn't be missing on the audio commentary.  :D

I don't think I want to see a Futurama movie....I haven't seen all of the ep's yet but if the final ep tied up a few things, a movie would just create more loose ends I reckon....leave it as it is....4 seasons of absolute greatness....

The last episode didn't tie up much (if any), and had a very open-ended ending.  I think a movie would be a good way to continue the story. Also, I think that Matt Groening would definitely be involved if there was one.

I also think Matt Groening will be involved with all the Futurama-stuff, it's his child, besides it's not like he hasn't done anything for the show since he invented it. He was involved, just like David. I also like David a lot more than Matt, but that doesn't mean he put more work into Futurama.

The movie would be great, I think it can be a closier, they can really tell all there stories in a movie. They can make several movies to tell all the stories they planned for Futurama. If you listened to the audio commentary you'll notice they have a lot more ideas then was shown on the show. I hope they will work them all out and I know they can do it, I have absolute faith in them.

If they do a movie I think they shouldn't put too many of the minor characters that appeared in the series in it. And they definately shouldn't make a Futurama movie for people who don't know the series.

Well movies usually dont leave any questions un-answerd if they are good movies (or if they want to keep you guessing). so IF there is a movie, it would probably tie up any loose ends.

These days you've got to have an open ending, for the inevitable direct to video sequel.

Maybe a new series could focus on the adventures of a killer robotic driving instructor who travels back in time for some reason. His trusty sidekick is a talking pie.

Six "very"s doesn't begin to cover Futurama.

Although that post reminds me of a book report we had to do for school.  One kid took his sheet of A4 writing paper, and wrote "This book is very, very, very, very, very... (all the way to the bottom of the page) ...very, very, very, very good."  :laff:
