For some reason, all the episodes I haven't seen are being voted as the worst! Where the Buggalo Roam, Kif gets Knocked up a Notch, Route of all Evil,I Dated a Robot, That's Lobstertainment, and Bendin' in the Wind are all part of this trend. How odd.

Anyway, worst eps I've actually seen are Cryonic Woman and The Honking.

I have no idea why one of those should be worst episode ever ... Bendin' in the Wind, the both Kiff/Amy episodes etc ... all good ones.

I don't think that was a joke. Tell me that wasn't meant to be a joke.

I know, I know. I tried to convince myself it wasn't, but I'm afraid the timing and pronunciation is all indicative of attempted humour. I think the idea behind it is that Leela was sortof maybe trying to comfort him (or not) but just reminds him that everything individual he has comes from the hat. The joke about the punch-bowl which follows shortly after isn't exactly a classic either.

Don't know why but I can't stand 'Mother's Day'. Everything about that episode pisses me off.

On the DVD commentaries, Matt sounded so proud of that joke. It's so bad, but he loves it so much, so it's got to be funny.

I don't get it, why does everyone hate "That's Lobstertainment" so much? I didn't think it was so horrible. I liked Hank Azaria doing Harold Zoid, he had a funny voice. It was just the end that didn't make sense.
But anyway, "Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch" was the WORST EPISODE EVER. It's the only ep in which I never laughed. I tried to enjoy it, but couldn't. Kif is just such a character who just needs to be in the background. The same goes with Amy, she can hold an episode, but needs someone to fall back on, like Fry in "PYHOMS". An episode centered on both of them... ugh. And there was no B Plot that could help the show, it was just all Amy, and all boring lovey-dovey Kif. Althought Professor's "I guess I showed myself!" line was good, that was the ONLY good line. Oh, and Evil Lincoln was OK. But that's it. And you say that "Lobstertainment" was bad?

Hey, "Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch" wasn't that bad. How could you forget the greatness of the angry dome?   :p

The episodes I don't like were "Pharoh" and "30% Iron Chef" or something like that.

Ah, yes. The Angry Dome was also funny. But the plot sucked and along with the dome, there were only a few good jokes.

Bending In The Wind and The Cryonic Woman sucked, but other than those two, I can't think of an episode I actually disliked. Maybe I should read through the thread to check I havent already posted one... keep your eyes peeled for edits!

I don't know... I'm just different from the rest of the people on here, but I happen to like Mars University.  The lines used by Fry and Farnsworth were hilarious.  Bender even has his own stuff going on as a little side story although he overused "cheese it" a bit.  The punchbowl joke wasn't meant to be classic, but I still got a chuckle out of it.  There's just many different ways that kind of joke is used... Zoidberg and informing Mr Wong that he fertilized the caviar and the look on his face...

Only episode that bored me enough to make it feel more important to clean my room instead was The Honking...  Then again, the worst episodes are better than anything else out there, right?

sadly it seems that even the sadest futurama episode beats any KOTH and alot of the simpsons.

good shows take time, great shows come all at once.

i may explain later if you all don't quite catch my drift.

I will admit, that the second half of Season 1 really grew on me once I got the DVD set. "A Big Piece of Garbage" and "Mars University" weren't my favorites, but now I find them quite funny. I've also grown on "Bendin'" (one joke it may be) and "Leela's Homeworld."

However, I still don't like "A Leela of Her Own," "Kif Gets Knocked up a Notch," "Less Than Hero," or even really "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid" that much.

yeah, it is true, futurama could have done better in those episodes, but you have to understand, the simpsons got six seasons to get funnyish. futurama get three or four production seasons and that is it. given more time the show could have become something truly spectacular, and yet we still have another crappy show about a bevis and butthead spinoff character, his low self esteem over wheight son, and blonde bimbo girl who is there for no reason. you know what i am refering to. if futurama got a chance like that i don;t think we would be contomplating the last episode right now.

I agree that King of the Hill is not at all funny, but don't rag on Mike Judge, he's a talented writer.  Didn't you ever see "Beavis and Butthead Do America" get a two thumbs up by Roger and Ebert?  (yes, before Rog kicked the bucket.)  The movie was great.  "Office Space" was another great work by Judge that no one fairly attributes to him.

Stick to the KOTH trashin' and no one will argue. :P

I don't recall the name of the episodes but the two that stick out to me has bad is the heavy handed anti-piracy episode using Napster and the episode where Hermes mates.

The first one is "I Dated A Robot", and I don't think the second one exists.

hermes mate? you must mean why must i be a lobster in love or somthing along those lines.

back to topic, time keeps on slippin, i hate it.

to ironic for my tastes. something a character can control, like Fry pushing the sell button when the stock price hit 150 in future stock, however, this is different. no memory, leela obviously not giving him a chance after the wedding (spiteful bitch), not destroyed by none other than leela herself, nobody seeing these things but fry, and the globetrodders, just because...

fate is a bitch, and my fan fiction series is totally going to fix the explicit injustices done to Fry and others. just read part four to get the gist, but part nine will reconcile all the rest, especially time keeps on slippin.

check out the series so far at www.leela.com.ar  in the fan fiction section. i am GHT.

I've never really liked "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid", and not just because I don't like Nibbler. In fact, I thought "The Why of Fry" was a very good episode, but 3ACV07 was just poorly written, IMHO. Not really that clever or inventive, and kind of a one-joke episode really, as most of the jokes seemed to revolve around the characters acting stupid, which is nice, but they wore it out too much. Sure, it set up "The Why of Fry", but I felt that it could have been done a little better with a little more originality. Plus, too many Nibblonians.

The worst episode I have ever seen, is the one I saw last night on Norwegian tv (In Denmark they started to run the oldest episodes a couple of months ago, so if I want to catch up with the newest episodes, I need to watch an episode every day. And they do that on Norwegian tv). So, anyway, the episode is where Dr. Zoidberg.. uhh.. gets horny, if you will... So they travel to his planet and stuff. I didn’t think it was funny at all. Okay, Benders "What is this, the middle ages?"-line was pretty funny, but that was it.

But what about you?

Whaaaaaaaaaat? This is one of my top FIVE episodes! Dr. Zoidberg is an interesting character and it was fun to see his world and a little more about his race! I found plenty of the quotes hilarious!

I never found "I dated a robot" very good because I honestly had no clue whatsoever who lucy lu was until someone told me, and I still don't care. The entire episode felt like it was written just for the purpose of having a celebrity guest, and they could have gotten someone so much more recognizeable.

A Leela of Her Own, 30% Iron Chef, A Leela of Her Own, Time Keeps on A Slippin', and Cryonic woman are my least favorite.  I don't mind watching them since there are some funny moments in each of them, but I just think they could have been done much better.  Of the one's I've listed I'd have to say Cryonic Woman is on the bottom of the list just below Time Keeps on Slippin.

Jarvio, you are a f**king moron. Sorry, but I had to say it. Your best/worst episode polls are complete nonsense. It's a mystery to me how anyone who likes Futurama at all could possibly think How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back is a bad episode. Are you just some kind of nutcase who sits in front of the tv saying 'Hoohoo good, me like cartoon' then pretends to have a brain and writes up messages that make no sense. I'm making no sense - look what you've done to me! God Damn it, I'm dribbling! Aaaaargh (hits himself in head to escape the pain)...
